About Karen Kieppe
I am a retired quilting, garment constuction and hand embroidery teacher living in Okemos, MI. I have been coming to Venice, FL for as long as I remember as my grandfather built a home here in the early 50's. My parents lived in the same home and I with them full time from 2000 until their passing in 2009. I returned to MI for a few years, but Venice drew me back and I now live in Venice. I've always been physically active, from running a marathon, skiing, tennis, boating and the usual Michigan and Fl activities. Life's short... play hard.... :)

Very well maintained, short walk to beach
This was a very well maintained condo that is perfect for one or two people. It is one block from the Venice pavilion and close to the main shopping on Venice Avenue. The kitchen was nicely equipped. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again.
Thanks so much for choosing my condo and taking such good care. It's pleasure having thoughtful people stay. I hope to see you next year!
Great location - very comfortable accommodations: good mattress, air conditioning very efficient.
Tastefully decorated and in walking distance of downtown, south jetty, and beach.
Absolutely wonderful ,condo was very clean and had everything we needed. A block from the beach and few blocks from downtown. During our 2 week stay we hardly drove at all. We walked or rode our bikes everywhere. Would definitely recommend this.
The location of this condo was ideal, very clean and well equipped. The majority of the 12-unit complex are return renters and very friendly. Karen (the owner) was very accommodating in making our stay feel like home. Great vacation!
cozy beach getaway
Loved the fish and beach themed apartment just a few steps from the Venice Beach pavillion. Great nights' sleep and conveniently stocked home for breakfest outside on the patio. Took walking jaunts to the Soda Fountain, Centennial Park and the Daiquiri Deck. Great kid and adult location because of all the local stuff to do. We will be back :-)
Wonderful relaxing experience
Great vacation spot. Everything you need is there neat and clean. Even the beach right there is beautiful and relaxing. Great food nearby. Good fishing spots close. Owner great to work with. Will be back when available. Loved our time there.
Picture perfect sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico await you every evening. Walk north on the beach (or bike or drive) to the Nouth Jetty and check out the fishing or have a hot dog at the Sand Castle. South on the beach to Sharkey's On The Pier for their famous dinning, fishing, tiki bar and nightly music. Venice Golf is right across the street. Maybe 1/4 mile more you'll find Casperson Beach with it's boardwalk, natural foliage and great shelling. Here is also one of the many entrances to the Venetian Waterway Park. A beautiful walk and bike path taking you back to town or all the way to Sarasota!
