About Paula Bloch
I am 70 years old and retired. You ask if I have a life motto and I guess it would be... "I'm going to live until I die". My husband of 35 years and my son who was 28 died 12 years ago. My daughter lives in Brooklyn. I have been spending part of the last 8 winters in Florence, Italy but my Italian still needs a lot of work. I love to travel and have been many places especially since I was a travel agent for 15 years. I spend May through September at my cottage in the Adirondacks but I will be only an hour or a phone call away if you should have any concerns or questions about your stay. I hope you will enjoy my home in Albany as much as I do.

Picture-perfect historic lodging
The elegant brownstone home located conveniently near Washington Park, art museums and very good restaurants was immaculate, beautifully restored and decorated, and comfortable for two people. The owner had provided all of the essentials and welcomed us to her home. Our stay there was wonderful!
Beautiful and Historic Home
We had another great stay at Paula’s beautiful home. Her home was comfortable with many amenities and in the perfect location to visit local sites. Thank you Paula!
It was a pleasure having you and your family as my guest in my home again this year. And many thanks to your husband for changing my lightbulbs.
I hope to see you again in the future.
We enjoyed our stay at Paula's home. Her home was clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. Every detail was thought out for the convenience and comfort of her guests including coffee, a bottle of wine, delicious muffins, extra tp, laundry detergent, quality linens and towels, and the list goes on. We LOVED the back patio which a nice space for us to have our coffee, a glass of wine, read a book, for our 4 year old to play, and there was even a grill to BBQ. The neighborhood was clean, quiet, and very close to many attractions such as the museum and Lark St. Paula was easy to contact and work with and made the check in process easy. We would highly recommend Paula's home and we hope to make this our go to place when we return to visit family every year. Thank you Paula!!
Paula is a wonderful hostess. She thought of everything that we might need and welcomed us with a bottle of wine. The house is within walking distance to great food and the state Capitol. She has done a wonderful job with the remodel while keeping the original character. I highly recommend staying at Paula’s.
Super petite maison
Très bien située, très très propre et proprio serviable et charmante
I want to thank Paula for allowing us to stay at her beautiful and charming home. It was perfect after the hustle and bustle of NY City. Your thoughtfulness was extremely appreciated. Conveniently located in walking distance to one of a kind restaurants, shops, bars, coffee houses and parks as well as a beautiful drive to Cooperstown make this an ideal location. Staying at this lovely home was like staying at home, you had anything that you needed right there. The patio was amazing and so, so relaxing. The kitchen a chef’s dream and the bedrooms and restrooms perfect. We did leave the folding chairs instead of throwing away hoping it can add more to the amazing amenities already offered. We will certainly recommend it to our family and friends and look forward to visit in the future to continue exploring the area. Thank you very much the Soto Family!
