About this property

Briardene in Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Pateley Bridge Harrogate (WiFi)

Self checkin, enhanced cleaning ...With WiFi our charming rustic cottage is in Bewerley, Pateley Bridge, a quiet pretty village only minutes walk from all amenities. An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) providing a great base for the spa (you have got to try it) town of Harrogate.
It is situated in a small quiet Dales village, with its own village green and 16th century chapel. You can walk from the door out onto the hills with its magnificent moorland, limestone and gritstone scenery or to local bakers and prize winning butchers providing local produce, and pubs/restaurants to suit all pockets. Visit the oldest sweet shop in England.
The living room with leather furniture has a wood burning stove, ideal for cosy winter evenings. The cottage has Wi-Fi. The cottage garden has a fantastic view beyond the Nidderdale show ground and has outdoor furniture for dining during those sunny evenings. The modern fully equipped kitchen with range cooker and granite worktop will allow you to exercise the Jamie Oliver within.

There are two double bedrooms, (one with ensuite shower room) and one bedroom with one single bed (and one pull out bed - space snug with both beds) and also a family bathroom with bath/shower.

Our cottage combines romance, the great outdoors, fantastic sight seeing and the opportunity to unwind in friendly surroundings.

A Yorkshire Brigadoon
We could not have been more delighted by our visit to Briardene and Pateley Bridge. It is not often a place will excel your expectations. The house was adequate to our needs, warm and snug, built to withstand a hurricane we think. Pateley Bridge, like Brigadoon , was enchanting. Everything you could wish for in a village. We particularly enjoyed the food at Helen’s Willow Restaurant and lunch at Just Delicious, and talking to Bev at Folk Finders and the two friendly volunteers at the amazing museum. We particularly liked the Nidderdale Trail, not to be missed. Walking by what’s left of St. Mary’s and seeing a great view over the valley. Yorkshire is very special, the people even more so. Don’t ever change.

Charming cottage in lovely location
We had the most wonderful weekend at this charming cottage in Yorkshire. The cottage was well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay and there was more than enough room for four adults. The surrounding town was charming with shops and plenty of cafes and pubs and plenty of sights within a short drive. We had a very tasty dinner at the Royal Oak as well as the local Italian wine bar. We just wish we could have stayed longer.

Family UK holiday stay in Yorkshire countryside
The cottage had all of the charm expressed within the description. Our family of 6 (3A, 3C) were perfectly comfortable with all 3C sharing one bed. The inclusion of a washing machine was very welcome to keep our luggage load low. We had fantastic trips to Whitby and York using this as our central point. The countryside is beautiful, the park was a good distraction for our children, the cottage clean and quaint. We are grateful for the opportunity to utilize this cottage for our holiday.
