Beautiful home - 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, living room, family room, kitchen, dining area. French doors off family room to screened pool with outside dining table. Fenced yard, too. Washer/dryer in the attached garage. Home is beautifully decorated with all the amenities. Unlock the door and you are on vacation! Both baths are spacious. Master bedroom bath has a large walk-in shower; guest bath has tub and shower. The heated pool is set at a luxurious 82 degrees; cooler, of course, for summer comfort. One mile walk or easy bike to Gulfport's Beach Blvd. with many restaurants, shops and activities. House is 1/2 block from the Gulfport marina and Clam Bayou Nature Preserve with walking trails, kayak and boat rentals. There is a lively outdoor market every Tuesday along Beach Blvd. and many special events and celebrations in Gulfport all through the year.
Gulfport has its own small beach on Boca Ciega Bay just a few blocks away, and the famous beaches of St. Pete, Treasure Island, Fort De Soto Park and Pass-a-Grille are all just a few minutes drive from the house.
The house is located only 5 miles (10-minute drive) from vibrant downtown St. Petersburg, offering many attractions, including the Dali Museum, Tropicana Field for Rays games, Museum of Fine Art, Central Avenue art scene, many craft beer breweries, beautiful waterfront on Tampa Bay. There is a lively restaurant scene especially along Beach Blvd in St. Petersburg, Sundial shops including popular Locale Market, Saturday outdoor market from October-May with over 130 vendors. St. Petersburg is full of things to do!
The entire Gulfport/St. Petersburg area is very dog friendly; many restaurants offer outside seating allowing well-behaved humans to accompany their pups. Gulfport's dog park is a 10-minute walk from the house and has separate areas for large and small dogs. St. Petersburg has several dog parks. Fort DeSoto Sate Park, about 13 miles from the house, has beautiful beaches, plentiful parking and one of the best off-leash dog parks in the country.
Easy day trips could be to Sarasota for the Ringling Museum and Armand's Circle, Dunedin for a taste of old small town Florida, Tarpon Springs for its Greek restaurants and sponge docks, Ybor City in Tampa, Busch Gardens and Adventure Island in Tampa and Legoland in Winter Haven.
We accept monthly rentals November through April and will consider shorter rentals May through October. Payment by credit card or e-check. E-check payments allow us to keep our costs down.
We will consider longer term rentals at rates lower than the monthly/weekly rates posted. If you rent for 6 months + 1 day you will not owe the 13% tourist rental tax.
