Bristlecone Hideaway is a true log cabin that provides a peaceful retreat after a day on the slopes, snowmobiling/ATV, mountain biking, hiking or visiting National Parks. Conveniently located with good access near black top, this 2500 sf, 4+ bedroom + loft, 2 bathroom cabin comfortably sleeps 14+. Wi-Fi, Xbox 360 (two) & Wii on site.

The cabin features an open living and dining area with amazing views. After a day in the outdoors, gather in the cozy living room, where you can lounge on the plush furniture, warm up in front of the natural gas fireplace and watch TV. The kitchen is fully-equipped including high-end appliances. In the summer, retreat to the deck, and enjoy gorgeous conifer & aspen trees and mountain views. High end Weber LP grill & charcoal kettle grill on deck.

The main level master bedroom features a king-sized Aspen log bed. The newly remodeled attached bathroom has a luxurious walk-in shower & jet tub. Guests can also access the deck from the master bedroom (or the great room). The 2nd bedroom on the main level has a queen size log bed. The main bathroom on the main level offers a walk-in shower. The open area of the loft has a twin over twin bunk bed and two couches for relaxing (one is a La-Z-Boy pull out queen sleeper). The upstairs enclosed bedroom (off the loft) offers a twin over full bunk bed, a queen bed, a true wood crib and a large TV/Wii/XBox360 and a play area with toys for the kids. There is a pull out queen sleeper sofa in the main level living room.

There is a 4th bedroom (Queen Log Bed) in the lower level (walk-out basement).

The walkout basement features a woodstove and offers additional living space including TV+XBox360+Amazon Fire, large game/dining table and relaxing Aspen log captains chairs.

Awesome tubing/sledding down the lower private driveway. Recreation gear on site for guest use: Snowshoes (appx 2 adults; 2 child); at least 2 sledding tubes & 4 sleds; at least 4 fishing poles & misc. tackle. Wi-Fi, Wii & Two XBOX 360 consoles and misc. games. Netflix & Amazon Video on various TVs, Network TV via antenna. Wi-Fi consistently 6-7mbps download which is fastest service available anywhere in Brian Head. However, some city folk will notice these mountain speeds are slower than the 25-100mbps city speeds. Tankless ("on demand") water heater so hot water never runs out.

THE property was clean and well equipped.

  • 5 of 5

We had an awesome time at Brian Head. The sled hill was the perfect introduction to snow and sledding for our Phoenix native children. We had plenty of space for our 7 children and 4 adults. We got snowed in for a day or two, but we were looking to unplug and relax so it was the perfect week. Definitely going to return in the summer to take advantage of some sightseeing and hiking.

Family friendly house in semi private setting that is very close to the slopes!

  • 5 of 5

Enjoyed a week at the house during early ski season. We had 3 families with 8 kids in the group, and there was plenty of space. We even had our dog with us. She loved roaming the trees and woods around the property. Kids took over the whole bedroom loft area, and the adults spread out amongst the bedrooms. We cooked every night with plenty of supplies in the kitchen. Kids had a blast sledding down the driveway, which was a great way to get their energy out. We went skiing every day, and it only took minutes to get to the slopes. The mountain and people working there are great. The owner of the house is extremely nice and responds promptly to all messages. We will definitely be back to Brian Head in the future, and would love to stay here again!!

We really enjoyed our stay.We had most of our family(14) there and the cabin was great for all of us. The kitchen was well stocked as we prepared and ate most of our meals there. The cabin setting and the deck we loved. A great time for all and we hope to return soon!!

Brian Head Cabin

  • 5 of 5

Jim was awesome!!...Cabin was clean, quiet, great views off the back deck & liked how the place was heated with the fireplace being on pretty much all the time!!....Real close to slopes and the road up to the cabin was plowed when we got there and one night we got like 7-8 inches of snow and that next morning it was plowed again!...Would definitely head back, great place!!!

hiding in the Bristlecone

  • 5 of 5

we completely enjoyed our week in the snow and pines. Jim was a great host, sent us a ski report the week before we went up along with the usual instructions about the property. there is a little sledding slope in the back of the cabin the kids took to; there were some tubes and sleds there, so we needn't have brought ours. only a few minutes to the slopes and a very nice view across the valley. If there is fresh snow you may need chains or 4x4 to get up there, but that's true of brian head in general.

the cabin was warm and inviting, comfortable beds. kitchen has all the necessities, we were able to eat in the whole week. Large open entertaining area that kept everyone together.

large cabin, didn't have enough people to ever use the basement. Overall, a delightful place for a family to relax for the week.
