About Terry and Sarah Allen
We have lived and traveled numerous places throughout the US and our property in Paria is still our favorite. We love being out doors, hiking and taking pictures. The night sky in Paria is amazing with a clear view of the Milky Way.
Why Terry and Sarah Allen chose Kanab
The views are amazing and it is so close to so many things to do. It is easy to get to, right off Highway 89.

Everything to hope for!
This place was a place of luxury - in the middle of nowhere. Sarah and Terry gave us our privacy and at the same time were very friendly and welcoming.
Breakfast exceeded expectations
The bed was the most comfortable I've stayed in outside of home
Beautiful location & fantastic stargazing
Nothing at all to complain about
I'd love to come back!
Wonderful home, great hosts, beautiful view
Thanks Terry and Sarah for a great stay and your warm hospitality!
So much better than staying in town!
Staying at the Paria Sage Casita was a highlight of our trip. It is a lovely, comfortable, quiet, place that looks out at the beauty of the desert that surrounds it. It is in a great location, very close to many fabulous hikes. Sarah and Terry Allen were wonderful hosts - attentive but not intrusive. Terry gave us new ideas for local hikes. Having breakfast served in the morning was a true pleasure. It is a distance from any town with a restaurant, so be prepared to bring lunch and dinner food. For us, being out of town and connected to the land was well worth the additional planning. The night sky there is amazing!
Handy to the "Wave"
Wonderful accommodations! Terry and Sarah Allen are great hosts and so very knowledgeable about the area - so many interesting things to see!
The property was very nice, well maintained and spacious
Sarah & Terry were great hosts.
We arrived well after dark. We were provided great instuctions on how to find the property but were worried about finding the small dirt road off of Hwy 89. Without asking Terry met us at the hwy with his pick up and bright lights on.
Every morning a delicious breakfast was provided and Terry was very helpfull on recommending places in the immediate area to see including a spectacular drive thru Cotton Wood Canyon.
There is a lot to see in the immediate area. (totally off the tourist grid)
We rode horses next door at Paria Ranch and and our friends/ wranglers Ron & Kelly took us thru slot Canyons just a couple of miles away.
There is also Johnson Canyon were there are lots of thinks to see including the old set from the Gun Smoke series.
The road to the Old Paria town site has the eye popping Rainbow Valley which has 10 out of 10 for beautiful coloured rock hill scapes and the old location of the old town site dating back to 1874 9.(Saw 2 other tourists) the whole afternoon.
We rented a boat on Lake Powell 20 miles away and spend a specatular day on the water exploring Navajo Canyon.
It is 30 miles from Page which has the famous Horseshoe bend on the Colorado River. Page has all the shopping and places to eat. We went John Texas BBQ twice.
It's only a two hour drive to both Bryce and Zion Canyons.
I highly recommend staying here and experiencing what beauty mother Nature has provided.
It was so nice to have you here and fun to see picture from where you live in Canada. What an amazing difference in climate. We are so glad you had time to come and enjoy this part of the southwest. Still lots more to see. We would love to have you back.
Our house is centered between so many great places to see. In the immediate area are The Wave, Paria Canyon, Hoodoos, The Old Paria Movie Set, Cobra Arch. Within 20 miles is Lake Powell and trips to Rainbow Bridges or down the Colorado. Also right outside of Page (35 miles east) are Horseshoe bend and Antelope Canyon.Going West to Kanab you can turn South and go the North Rim of the Grand Canyon or turn North to go to Zion and Bryce National Parks all with 4 hours.
