About the property

This large and centrally located suite is only a short walk down the hill to the 15 minute seabus downtown and minutes by car or transit to beaches, shopping, mountains and many tourist attractions! Walking distance to locally acclaimed restaurants, pubs, and shops.

This self-contained 900 sf garden suite has many amenities, including a private laundry room with washer/dryer/sink, fully equipped kitchen, flat screen TV and hi-speed internet wifi. There are books and games at your disposal, and a private outdoor sitting area with a BBQ looking onto the gardens. The queen bed and sofabed are both comfortable in spacious areas with many closets and a luggage rack for your convenience. Hotel quality towels and bedding are provided specifically for guests with a variety of "extra" amenities. Enjoy the microwave, fridge, stove and dishwasher along with smaller appliances such as a blender or rice cooker!

Your suite has private access down and around the side of the house and through the back gardens with with keyless entry to come and go as you please, with as little or as much privacy as you like! The owner lives in the duplex so is available to answer questions or provide recommendations.

Enjoy the privacy and comfort of a beautiful neighborhood yet you are conveniently close to downtown Vancouver via seabus, car or transit. Lower Lonsdale is central with many locally acclaimed restaurants, pubs and shops. You are minutes to nearby parks and trails, or walk to the sea at the Quay, known for events like the Friday Night Shipyard Market with live music, international food trucks and local vendors. Whistler is 1 hr 15 mins by car and Grouse Mountain is a 15 minute transit by bus, and both are popular for skiing in winter or hiking and biking in summer, along with many other events and activities.

There is curbside parking and we are minutes to the highway, with easy access to transit or walking distance to local shops, restaurants or pubs. Library, movie theater, gym and seabus to downtown within minutes.

I am a pediatric nurse who works in research and in my spare time love taking advantage of enjoying the many beautiful experiences surrounding me in this central location. I love meeting new people and thoroughly enjoy travel and exploring other parts of the world, and am proud of what Vancouver has to offer.

Why Linda chose Lower Lonsdale

I have been on the North Shore for almost 25 years, and receive the best of both worlds in a comfortable and beautiful suburb that is within easy access to exploring local mountains and parks while taking advantage of the convenience to downtown and all it has to offer. Lower Lonsdale is not only central, but offers many locally acclaimed restaurants, pubs and shops. I am also within walking distance to a gym, theater, library, recreation center and a variety of other services and amenities.

What makes this house unique

My home is on a hill with views of the North Shore Mountains and downtown skyline across the water, and is situated on a landscaped boulevard park in the quiet neighborhood of Ottawa Gardens, a historically protected area of North Vancouver's first settlers. I fell in love with the beautiful gardens and private yard, and the fact the house is conveniently located centrally to access all Vancouver has to offer.

This home is in a nice area of North Vancouver, with easy access to Sea Bus (ferry) to Vancouver, and well located for all North Vancouver activities. It is, to my eye, a beautifully finished apartment, with a lovely, gated, green path with flowers as you enter. You walk to the rear of the home, down a couple of stairs to sound of trickling water and a patio and green back yard. The interior of the apartment is so very comfortable and Linda has looked to all the details a visitor would want. The apartment is furnished with good taste, and the amenities are abundant: fresh soaps, beautiful towels, lounging robes, a comfy bed, kitchen appliances for every need, and thoughtful bits of candy, coffee and tea, some fruit, and a feeling of welcome created by the attention to these and other details. The warmth of welcome is found also in her emails and effort to make sure everything is satisfactory, and all your questions are answered. I happily recommend this location and hostess.

Oasis of calm

What a treat to find a peaceful garden flat within easy reach of the city.

Just what we needed to enjoy a little rest and relaxation after travelling almost nonstop for two weeks . Beautifully presented with lovely linens, bathrobes and fluffy towels .

Linda was around to answer any queries we had and offer advice without being intrusive . We would stay here again when we return to Vancouver .

Linda’s garden apartment is darling and has everything you need when traveling. We walked to the ferry easily. The walk home is a bit uphill but we got our exercise in. We loved sitting in the outdoor area and watching the birds. Garden is gorgeous. Close to N. Van parks. I want to come back!

We enjoyed staying in Linda's hideaway. Great location in a really nice neighborhood made for easy access to Vancouver. Nice to be able to walk around neighborhood too. Easy access to unit through the back gate. Pleasant backyard. Safe, convenient place to store our bikes. Kitchen well stocked. The living room could use a bit more lighting if possible.
