About Corinne Cahuzac

Being true Canadians, we have lived in the four corners of Canada, from the West Coast to the Artic, Ontario, Quebec and even over seas, Colin and I fell in love with this property and decided to retire here. One problem: We are not of retirement age yet!

Therefore we will share our little treasure, this hidden gem with you until our time comes.

Corinne Cahuzac purchased this chalet in 2015

Why Corinne Cahuzac chose World

We presently live in Lunenburg, and although our Lake House is just 30 minutes away, it is a World Away. No cars, no noise except for the early morning loons. Inspiring views, peace of mind and serenity.

Lunenburg is a charming small town. Who would not love to live I a town that people seek as a vacation refuge! Living by the sea, with it small fishing villages along the coast, it's unpredictable nature, it's violent force and tranquil invitation to navigate its waters, Nova Scotia's South Shore is a treasure. A gift from the Big Guy!

What makes this chalet unique

With it's open concept living space, views on the lake from just about every corner and different living areas, this house was perfect to enjoy the nature, work on personal projects in the workshop, garden or just sit on the dock and take in the sunset. 5 acres of land gives us enough space and privacy. Sometimes I think we bought the house for our dogs... so they could be free and happy when we are there.

Stayed at the Eagle's Nest for a weekend getaway... Could not have chosen a better cottage

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is spotlessly clean and has everything you need from board games down to condiments in the well-stocked kitchen. The lake is pristine, the provided kayaks are fun and the view from every window (and there are many) is amazing.

The building itself is unique, check out the sculpture on the side of the fireplace... Way over-sized for just one bedroom, so combined with the downstairs lock-off apartment (which the owner showed us around) would make for an excellent family or couples retreat.

Everything you could need to complete your stay is available in Bridgewater and should you feel the need to leave the cottage, the beaches and attractions nearby are well worth a visit.

The owner is great, very accommodating and takes great pride in her property.

We will be returning!

Clean, very peaceful, excellent value for money!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I were in Nova Scotia with our son for two weeks and staying here was the most peaceful and relaxing part of our trip! There were so many birds around that we don't have in Alberta, and we especially enjoyed seeing hummingbirds visit the feeder dozens of times during our stay! We didn't see them, but I'm sure we heard loons on numerous occasions too! The view was spectacular, especially at dawn and dusk, and the boathouse was cute. We barely saw a mosquito the entire time we were there and we had a fire on our last night in one of the several available fire pits. Compared to a hotel for 3 people in summer, this did not cost any more, it had all of the amenities of home and our only regret is not staying longer! We will see you next time, thanks for your hospitality!

rundum klasse

  • 5 of 5
