Villa Antonia enjoys views of the Tramuntana mountain range and surrounding countryside. Located in the area of La Font in Pollensa, this 3 bedroom villa is in a great location for those wanting a relaxing holiday but within short driving distance to the resort amenities. This countryside villa has the added benefit of free air conditioned/heated bedrooms and lounge, plus WiFi. As you approach this traditional Majorcan (Mallorcan) villa you will be greeted by the stone clad villa and spacious driveway. Back to the lounge and going up the wooden staircase, leads firstly to a mezzanine area with seating, which is an ideal place for a spot of reading. An amazing property comprising a mixture of new and original features. We were hoping to have a nice relaxing break and this property came up to all expectations. The setting is fantastic as the villa is nestled in the owners small holding, completely surrounded by a variety of fruit trees and orchards. The pictures do not do justice to the property or location. You get a feeling of being isolated but in reality you are perhaps only half a mile away from the main road which has 2 popular supermarkets on it. Just bear in mind that the lanes leading up to the property are very narrow and its best to pull your cars wing mirrors in. Some of the features we particularly liked included the vast amount of space both inside and outside the property, the table tennis table and the fact that the swimming pool is mildly salt watered. Don't be surprised to see the owner tending to the fruit trees during the day, its a good opportunity to discuss any small queries you may have and also to gain some invaluable info regarding the local area. Would not hesitate to go back and would probably stay longer than a week next time.
Great layout. Outdoor kitchen really worked for us.
Very nice villa. Would definitely go again.
Great Villa and location
The location of this Villa is fantastic, countryside (so very peaceful) with The Serra de Tramuntana mountains in the background. A car is a must, less than 5 mins away from old town Pollença with its lovely winding streets and some great places to eat and drink.
Port Pollença is about 10 mins away again some good restaurants and a very good beaches.
A Lidl and a Eroski are a couple of mins away, for all your supermarket needs and a very good hardware store that literally sells everything you need like lilo's to plates to an SD card ( which I forgot)
Villa is best described as rustic, surrounded by small holdings and a couple of other villas, you are not overlooked by any of these, the owner Juan and his wife do visit their small holdings regularly, which at the start I felt intrusive, but to be honest they are very discreet, and Juan is very helpful if needed so tended not to notice in the end, the bottom of the garden behind pool, there are a lot of ducks, chickens and geese, and a cockerel, which does wake you up, rather that than noisy people or traffic, this is countryside! And occasionally you do see the owner feed them, again not a problem.
The outside cooking area is fantastic, we had some great BBQ's
There are a couple of issues with the outside furniture, really does need replacing, two dinning chairs were broken when we arrived Juan took them away, couple of days later they were returned repaird, well bodged! One broke again... the loungers are awful, again bodged repairs, very rickerty and uncomfortable...Please Juan chuck them away!
The manager Josep did visit and agreed that the outside furniture needs to be updated.
Air-con is a pain, the timer needs to be on earlier, say 7pm when your changing to go out. Not 8.30 And it goes off at 7am, we're on holiday so weren't up at that time!
Beds are too hard as well.
If these changes were made it would be 5 stars!
Lovely rustic secluded villa with contemporary interior
The villa was perfectly situated, far enough off the beaten track to feel completely secluded. Northern Majorca is simply stunning for scenery. The villa is set in grounds full of lemon & orange trees, grape vines and a well-kept garden. The pool is mild saltwater, and is perfect for cooling off after sunbathing in the garden. The villa has a rustic feel but has interesting original artwork inside, and the modern kitchen is well-stocked with crockery and utensils. We were a family of 5 (3 adult children) and found the villa spacious enough to accommodate all of us. There is also a charcoal-based barbecue outside (which took a while to get going but was worth the wait). The villa is situated a couple of miles outside beautiful Pollenca with its amazing 5* restaurants. We hired bikes from the port and in the evenings, we would cycle into Pollenca for drinks/food along a lovely quiet route over the Roman bridge, coming back at night under the stars. A magical experience. Josep and Juan were always to hand if we needed anything; in the first couple days we had power cuts but we were quickly sorted out to ensure the much-needed air con was always working. Would definitely recommend.
Fantastic rural (quiet) location. Superb service.
Lovely rustic villa in rural location but still close to supermarkets and Pollenca town. Great area in Northern Mallorca. A welcome pack (water, milk, bread) would improve rating. Owner was very close and available if any problems. Villa perhaps not totally child friendly. Villa is in middle of small holding and owners come and go to water crops, often not announcing themselves and leaving the gate open which can be a worry with small children around. Beds on hard side but Airconditioning a bonus - except that AC on a timer which would be nice to have been advised on arrival (young children for afternoon naps). Small complaints overall after a very nice relaxing stay.
Villa was beautiful, location was just what we needed.Facilities were really good.
Our only complaint was that the towels supplied could be replaced and perhaps provide bath sheets. It would also have been good to have an information folder about the villa and surrounding area. Other than these two rather trivial matters,we had a superb holiday and willreturnin the future.
The most beautiful and picturesque area of Mallorca is the Pollenca region which has a unique charm and beauty, and is the ideal destination for quality, family villa holidays. Pollença Old Town is a peaceful and tranquil town that remains very typically Spanish. It is four miles from the coast, nestling between two hills at the eastern end of the Tramuntana mountains. Pollença itself is indisputably pretty. Historic buildings with ochre roofs, sun-baked walls and wooden shutters line the narrow and twisting medieval streets. There are pastel-painted houses in the centre and Moorish water mills on the outskirts. It's also a haven of sleepy Mallorcan traditions - café life and the siesta roll on here as they always have. The heart of the old town is the central square, Plaça Major, where there are many café-bars and fine restaurants. Pollença also has lots of galleries of Mallorcan art and design, and a town museum. The most famous walk in Pollença is up the 365 steps of the tree-lined 'Calvario' - the Calvari Hill. There is a tiny church at the top with amazing views over the town and across wooded valleys to the sea Puerto Pollensa is host to long sandy beaches that curve around the bay and are divided by breakwaters and so are ideal for children. There are also a number of small, natural, sand and pebble beaches to explore. The atmosphere in Puerto Pollensa is relaxed with no loud discos or nightclubs, but a fine variety of open-air cafés, restaurants, boutiques and shops. The countryside around Pollenca Old Town and Puerto Pollensa is amongst the most stunning and picturesque in the Mediterranean. Lush green dramatic valleys, littered with grazing mountain goats and sheep and beautiful rural farmland hillsides dotted around picturesque monastery’s and farms are the typical view from your garden here.
