Experience fall in the June Lake area
We visited early October and the whole area (which can be traveled on the June Lake Loop) was spectacular with golden aspens and clear air. The cabin is comfy (about one long block from Gull Lake) and served well as a base from which we could go out and explore. The pictures and the description of the cabin are accurate. This is a good bargain.
A small compact rustic cabin among the Aspins but we had everything we needed including being dog friendly. We would stay there again.Bryan and her husband were very helpful in getting us settled. We loved it!
Review of Bear's Den bungalow
We had a great time. The location, at 7000' near the East face of the Sierras is absolutely spectacul, one of my favorite mountain locales in the U.S., and although the precise location is a trailer park off a side street, it's very near the lovely June Lake and the whole area has a relaxed, mountain (non-ski) resort feel.
My only quibble is that the Murphy bed was a little hard for my tastes, but the place is easy to get to, relatively close to services, has a nice kitchen and easy parking. The furniture is comfy, there's a working TV with cable, and the bathroom is a little small but has a shower with bath.
We didn't need much help, but the manager responded promptly when we asked for help with the wireless. Turns out the wireless is weak and you need to be close to the complex office, so it's best if you have your own hotspot.
We loved our weekend there, and would return if we are in the area again.
Restful and quiet
There were just two of us - my dog and me. The cabin was perfect for us. It was roomy and comfortable. I liked the location since it was close to the fishing, hiking and the brewery, although not necessarily in that order. I hope to return soon.
Great accomadaions, good location, easy access, and very pleasant hosts. Would recommend to anyone.
What a wonderful little cabin near the outdoors. Will stay again in the future when available. Thank you so much for a lovely stay!!!
Cozy cabin with plenty of parking
Bryan was very helpful in the entire process and was able to help us even during our stay. Cabin is cozy and clean. The murphy bed is actually very comfortable. Plenty of towels and linens. Only bad thing for us is no WIFI but we were out most of the day anyway.
The June Lake Loop is the perfect base camp for your next High Sierra adventure. Visit the high country of Yosemite National Park. Explore the unique landscape of Mono Lake. Ride a gondola to the top of Mammoth Mountain. Experience history at Bodie ghost town. Relax at the Double Eagle Resort's Creekside Spa. There are a multitude of activities to satisfy anyone who loves the great outdoors.
