Lovely quiet place with big terasse
Well equipped cottage with lovely terasse.
It's like a walk back in time, but in a good way. We explored the area, brought back lobster cooked it at the cabin. Then sat on the screened in porch eating, while looking at the Maquoit Bay. We would have liked to stay longer, maybe next time! Thank you Susan and Chad.
Cute cottage near the water
We stayed here for 5 nights in July. It’s very clean and close to Brunswick (7 min drive). We have family on Merepoint and this was a quick walk to them. It’s quite quiet at the cottage which made for lots of sleeping late for the kids. The owners are very nice. We had a good time.
A delightful place to spend time in Maine
Maine is a great place for vacations, and this cottage is a good place to experience it from. Brunswick is close to lots of interesting places, and also close to lots of less-populated/traveled areas also. Having separate spaces for sleeping, cooking, and lounging around makes it much better than the average hotel room. With a full kitchen you can get food from the nearby grocery stores and make inexpensive breakfasts and lunches (we usually go out for dinner since so many good places are around for that). The owners are very responsive if you have problems, it's just a great place to unwind!
Quaint and Quiet Cabin
My husband, dog and I stayed here to celebrate the long holiday weekend, both of our birthdays and the impending due date for our baby rapidly approaching. This house was exactly what we needed. The kitchen was stocked with everything we could need to make breakfast, lunch and dinner at home. The house is easily accessible to the water, where there is a lovely relaxing pebble beach area to hang out at. The view is soothing with trees and water to look at when you are enjoying coffee and breakfast on the screened in porch. Our dog was very comfortable there, in addition to the two of us as we slept in on a very comfortable bed. We did not use the extra bedroom with 2 twin beds, but could see how kids would love being in it. The TV had very basic channels (but if the weather is great, you don't need to be watching TV anyways). The check out and clean up process was a cinch. Chad was lovely when we ran into him, but was very respectful of our space and privacy. Portland was a quick 40/45 min drive, the town of Brunswick was ADORABLE, and we loved the easy walk to Paul's marina with the pup (where you could grab ice cream, sandwiches, lobster, etc). Great long weekend. Thank you!
My sisters and I found this property the perfect quiet get-a-way for our first trip to Maine. The view is gorgeous and the steps down to the water easy to maneuver. The cabin has everything you need and your privacy is respected. There is a lovely screened in porch facing the water which is lovely for morning coffee or evening drinks. The cabin is within miles to a lot of sight-seeing, shops and restaurants and taxi service is available into Brunswick if needed. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.
