Great little cottage, great location
Loved the cottage, it was close to everything, the lake was great and surrounding neighbors were very friendly. Would stay again!
This was a very nice cottage outside of Plymouth, close to Cape Cod. A few items- the cottage had a very strong smell of mildew upon arrival. There was a portable air conditioner in the upstairs kitchen area. However, an air conditioner unit/dehumidifier in the basement/sleeping area was necessary. After a day or two with the windows wide open, the smell subsided. However, we did not realize the importance of keeping the windows open until the second day. Also, there was an ant problem in the kitchen. We did not leave any food out, but the sink was filled with ants in the morning and they came out with a vengeance during our breakfast. Additionally, it says is sleeps 7, which it could, but I would not recommend more than 4 people sleeping in this house. There are towels, but no washer/dryer, so if you have numerous people showering, you would quickly run out of towels unless you brought your own (which you could not wash).
It is a very convenient cottage if you are planning on visiting Plymouth. It was very close to the Cape, but that meant that we struggled with Cape traffic often. If you are planning on spending a significant amount of time on the Cape, I do not recommend this cottage during peak season, as you will spend too much time trying to get on and off the Cape.
The view from the deck is very nice and the kayaking was wonderful.
Len was easy to get a hold of when I needed the door code
Location was ideal for a day trip to Boston and provincetown
Our second stay, We love it here!
We had a wedding in the area for Labor Day weekend so we decided to rent from Helen and Lenny again instead of a hotel. We just love it here!
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Island Time! It was a safe, comfortable retreat after our busy daily excursions to downtown Plymouth, Providence, RI; Provincetown, and Edaville. Having access to Island Pond was lovely, we really liked kayaking and appreciated the beautiful scenery!
Just a FYI to other out-of-town travelers, the kitchen access has limited resources, and is stocked more for a fun, drinking weekend, than if you wanted to prepare and cook meals.
Lastly, I really appreciated Len's warm welcome and enjoyed meeting his grandchildren! Thank you for a nice visit!
Relaxation at the pond
Stayed at the Pond House rental for 5 days in July. A group of has were in Plymouth for our daughters' dance competition. The house rental was perfect! Clean, quiet and a nice place to relax and unwind before and after competition. It was a perfect getaway. Close to Plymouth Center but away from the hussle and bussle. Would love to stay here again.
Thank you for leaving your review. We are so happy you enjoyed your stay at the cottage and would love to see you again.
