Two bedroom, one bath beach-view cottage with spacious deck and open floor plan

About Scott and Kelly Kastner
Kelly and I love to travel and we've been to beaches throughout Mexico and the Caribbean. While we've enjoyed all of our vacations, we wanted to find an area that offered the right beaches, the right atmosphere, and fewer people. We found Little Exuma and fell in love with the island so much that we decided it was time to buy a property.
Scott and Kelly Kastner purchased this House in 2015
Why Scott and Kelly Kastner chose William's Town
When we saw this cottage we knew that it was right for us. The location is ideal with the beach on one side and the lagoon on the other, and after spending a week there initially and only seeing one couple on the beach the entire time, we had our minds made up.
What makes this House unique
This cottage is truly located in the most peaceful, secluded and beautiful area we've ever visited. You can operate at your own pace and enjoy all the island has to offer without the crowds, which truly allows you to relax and let your vacation be a true vacation.

As a cottage, White Sands was superbly equipped with everything we could need and more, spotless and in perfect condition. Comfortable beds and attractively decorated. Appreciated quiet fans and AC , ample towels, coffee grinder, nice shower. Kelly and Scott are super hosts- timely and thorough communication with the added bonus of Theo on island so even though the cottage seems isolated, there is help available as needed. The setting is absolutely perfect in its combination of 2 spectacular beaches providing excellent walking, swimming , natural beauty. Very uncrowded. Tropic Breeze and Santana’s are close restaurants with better food than the fancy resorts. Be aware that ferries, tours and the market is in Georgetown 30 minute drive at best, the airport 45 and Coco plum beach over an hour so if you are the exploring type, you will be driving a bit but we always returned with happy hearts to our peaceful and private slice of paradise. Highlights: renting a boat from Minns and exploring Elizabeth Harbor, the sand bank, snorkeling the cut between Gauna and fowl cay, lunch at Lumina Point. Walking the pristine and totally empty Atlantic side of Stocking Island. We did do the full day tour to the sharks, pigs, grotto etc with mixed feelings- beautiful scenery and phenomenal waters but the stops were so crowded with people, so noisy and chaotic that it marred the interaction with wildlife and felt contrived and boardering on exploitive/ abusive to the animals. Thank you, Kelly and Scott for a most wonderful stay in the Exumas.
Thank you so much for the kind words, it was wonderful having you stay at the cottage and we hope you return!
Exuma the Beautiful
This is our second time staying at the White Sand Cottage. We love this property because it's clean, quiet and equipped with everything you need. The owners are very quick with responding to any issue you may have. We just love staying at a place that we feel comfortable, almost like we are home. Thank for keeping the place up and having beach accessories. It's these small details that go a long way with us.
We will be back!!! Thanks Kelly & Scott.
Thank you so much for staying at our cottage and for the kind words. It was an absolute pleasure to have you and we look forward to you coming back!
Our stay at White Sands Cottage was fantastic. The cottage is very clean, open and bright with great views of the water. We were a family of 5, (3 teenage boys) and there was space for everyone. The deck was our favourite spot in the morning! Within walking distance are two of the best beaches we've seen. The water was warm and the snorkeling was amazing. We spent hours fishing at the bridge in The Ferry. Great fish to be caught for the bbq! If ever we needed anything, the cottage has a cell phone to get in touch with Theo who can help out. Scott and Kelly gave us lots of information before we arrived outlining clear driving directions, where to shop, where to eat and what there is to do. If ever I had a question they got back to me very quickly. I would stay at White Sands again in a heartbeat! Thanks Kelly, Scott and Theo.
Thank you so much! We enjoyed having your family stay at our cottage.
Kelly, Scott and Theo.
A wonderful place !
This cottage is cute, comfortable and very well equipped. We spent wonderful holidays in this perfect spot and we have appreciated a lot the privacy. It is located very close to splendid beaches (a few steps to the lovely beach in front of the cottage and a 20' walk - 5' by car - to Tropic Cancer beach, among others). It is also close, by car, to 3 good restaurants : Tropic Breeze, Santana and Turtle Pond.
Thank you to Kelly & Scott for sharing your peace of paradise with us ! and we thank also Theo, the property manager, for his kindness and efficiency.
Tiziana & Pierre, from Switzerland :-)
Thank you for staying at our cottage and for the kind words, we hope you come back again!
Awesome secluded getaway
We had an awesome time at White sands cottage! The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you needed. Cooked on the new grill almost every night as well. The bed is super comfortable. TV and WiFi worked great for nights when you finished up a beach day. It’s my second time to williamstown and first with white sands. Tropic of Cancer beach is a bit populated now because there’s signs now. If you want your own secluded beach, There’s a path across the street from the cottage, that leads to a beautiful beach that you can have all to yourself. White sands is close proximity to what I believe is the best restaurant on the island(Tropic Breeze). Santana’s is also very close as well. It’s far from Georgetown but if you buy all your groceries on your way from the airport, you’ll never have to leave. Theo was a great help. White sands provides a cell phone which was very handy when needing to call a restaurant or excursion or even Theo for advice on things to do.
I know that people say the road to the cottage is rough and what not. Ok it is a little rough but a car is fine. You can easily navigate any rough parts. I had a Honda Fit for 10 days and didn’t have any issues. We left almost everyday to explore or shop.
We loved this place and I would definitely stay here again. I’m sad to leave. Thank you both for everything. We really enjoyed our stay to the fullest.
Thank you for staying at our cottage, it was an absolute pleasure to have you! We hope you come back, you will always be welcome.
Clean, well-appointed cottage
The cottage was very clean, well-appointed throughout, everything you need in good condition. From our experience, you don’t always find a kitchen this well-appointed and cared for. The kitchen has a coffee maker, toaster, microwave, toaster convection oven, a variety of china, glass wear, utensils and supplies.
On the deck are two working charcoal grills, in good condition (one new, never used). Great entertainment including Dish TV and great Wi-Fi!
The cottage also comes equipped with beach chairs, towels and water toys.
The only downsides were although the cottage has a great view and you can hear the waves, the bedrooms do not have screen doors, and you really need a car to get to a beach (Forbes Hill and Tropic of Cancer beaches are wonderful).
The roads are typical for the out-islands, which means pretty rough, it’s best to follow the directions Kelly supplies, the alternate route is worse :-)
Thank you Steven for the kind words, it was a pleasure having you stay at our cottage!
Excellent for a quiet secluded vacation getaway.
