OASIS IN THE DESERT: 3 BR, 3 BA, Private Spa, Golf and Mountain Views Sleeps 6
Omni Resort's Tucson CC community, CASAS Del Oro, is an intimate gated enclave of 39 homes. Tucson National has been voted by Golf Week Magazine "One of AZ's Top 20 Golf Courses" and has hosted over 30 PGA Tournaments including Tucson's Conquistadores Classic. This is a delightful place to golf, relax and get away.
Come to enjoy 36 holes of golf on two unique 18 hole courses, the Catalina and Sonoran; or enjoy tennis, volleyball, PickleBall, swimming, spa/fitness center, and Bob's Steak House, the nearest restaurant/bar.
The contemporary Town Home home offers a split floor plan with 3 BR's, 2 down, one up, making it possible for three couples or a multigenerational family to vacation together comfortably. The second floor roof deck, privately accessible from the Treehouse Guest Room and ensuite bath, offers phenomenal sunrise/sunset views of the Catalina mountains beyond the 14th hole. The LR/DR/MBR and gourmet Kitchen also offer long golf course and Catalina Mountain views.
The gourmet kitchen has over 20' of gleaming granite, SS appliances, gas cooktop and well stocked cabinetry offering most equipment a serious foodie needs. Skylights, sparkling under cabinet lighting and under counter windows with a view into mature citrus trees, make the kitchen feel like a playhouse!
Along the West (kitchen) side of the house Orange, Grapefruit, Myer Lemon and Blood Orange trees shade and scent the air and offer months of bounty. Help yourself, make Iced Tea with lemons, Margaritas with lime, whip up an Orange Julius, or enjoy fresh Grapefruit juice.
The DR opens directly onto a covered patio which has overhead fans, misters, a BBQ, dining seating for 8, and additional seating for six to relax in as well as a private spa with fountain. Rainbows dance in the misters and sprinklers while the course is being watered early in the morning.
The MBR/BA Suite on the first level also provides direct access to the covered patio. Enjoy the luxurious Master BA, complete with TV, walk-in rainfall ashower for two and mountains of fluffy towels. Pop out to the patio for a dip in the Spool (spa/pool for 2) or to enjoy a quiet coffee while hummingbirds, woodpeckers, morning doves, and more play overhead in the Bottlebrush and Persian Lime trees.
The LR's 16' ceilings, arched windows, and wide glass sliding doors make this an indoor/out house. Surround Sound, Satellite, & DVD&CD's are available in the LR . Fire up the gas fireplace, make popcorn, a beverage of choice and snuggle on the comfy sofa.
Exceptionally comfortable, this professionally designed and decorated home is located minutes from I-10 for easy access.
Phoenix is an hour and 45 minutes if day trips are in your plans.
Local services are moments away - dining, shopping, entertainment venues, sight-seeing, mountain trails, walks in the wash, bike trails and more. Downtown's about half an hour away. "Out East", Ventana Canyon, could be 45 minutes, if there's traffic.
Closer to home are the Tohono Chul Gardens and Tea Room, the Nannini Library, NW YMCA, and private health clubs with pre-arranged activities.
Nearby Grocers: Basha's, Fry's, Albertson's, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, & Safeway.
The garage holds most SUV's and a golf cart. Inquire about arranging a rental. Additional parking on the pad, street, or at Guest Parking is at the end of the block.
Some recreation equipment is available:
(Bike/helmet/picnic coolers/basket, flotation devices).
Should you want to do DIY the workbench is adequately stocked for minor projects.
Early in the morning, or after golfers vacate the course, take a nature walk on the cart trail. Hundreds of Oleander and Olive trees line the community. Cross over and turn around at any of the bridges over the wash, keeping an eye open for the resident bobcat, known as Peeping Tom, who's quite shy.
The environment is beautiful, pleasant, safe. I believe you'll enjoy being here as much as I do.

About Paula J Harper
Originally from the mid-west I've lived in several states and chose AZ for retirement. Long established as someone who enjoys travel. I found the home I'm always glad to come back to, right here in Tucson! Sharing this indoor-out mecca with an urban vibe is a treat. My most recent trip was to Peru to visit relatives. I often visit NC where my son, DIL and 3 Grandkids live. We enjoy Marco Island Fl's beaches, and soon I'll visit Spain for the first time.

Why Paula J Harper chose Casas Adobes
I grew in the Ozarks, near the Mark Twain National Forest. While the desert has immense appeal, I still need to see green. From my favorite memories as a child visiting grandparents, in CA I remember expansive gardens. And while living in Chicago, IL in a high-rise for nearly 30 years I fantasized about a warm environment, verdant with citrus and sunshine. When I first saw this community, awash with Oleander and Olive trees, it immediately felt like home. My property includes 10' side yard planted with citrus and roses, I call it my Secret Garden. Roses bloom under the DR window, in honor of my Gardening Grandma. Decks from both levels offer sanctuary and uninterrupted green views. The private patio Spa/fountain on the ground floor is accessible from Living, Dining and MBR's. Wall to wall sliding doors make it a truly indoor/outdoor home. Professionally rehabbed recently, the gourmet kitchen provides 3 distinct prep areas, tons of storage, and skylights in addition to under-cabinet task lighting. Thru the under-cabinet windows, the scent of blooming citrus trees wafts in making kitchen moments magical.
What makes this Townhome unique
A copper fountain in the stack stone Entry soothes and welcomes the moment you arrive. The sky's visible from Kitchen, LR, & Master Bath via skylights. Above the LR/DR sliding doors are 3 stationary arched windows. The second level "catwalk", also with sliding doors, overlooks the LR, so the ever changing quality of light can be observed from almost every room. The First floor MBR/BA are important to me should I need an easy access environment. While not technically handicap accessible, the MBath shower in particular will accommodate, Off the private 2nd floor BR/BA which I call the Treehouse, is the largest patio with second story views over the golf buffer. It looks toward the Catalina Mountains, a special place to experience the sunset. Sunlight is controlled by plantation shutters throughout. Extensive cross ventilation means AC is nominally needed. The buffer to the golf course controls cart traffic and errant balls, so the home feels very safe and private. The TH is situated at a 45 degree angle to its common-area neighbor. Citrus, a shade tree, Bougainvillea, and a magnificent Mesquite ensure privacy and shade. On the opposite side are delightful long-term full-time neighbors of the nicest variety; respectful of privacy and there in the event information is needed.

Lovely home with golf course and mountain views
We stayed in Paula's beautiful home for two weeks in March of 2018. The home was very well stocked and beautifully decorated. The location is very well situated for enjoying the Tucson area. Paula has well written instructions for how to operate the electronics and the other features of the home. The orange, grapefruit and lemon trees on the property are an added feature. We quickly learned how to use the citrus picker and enjoyed fresh squeezed juice on many mornings. There are hiking and biking trails very conveniently located. The unit comfortably sleeps four and can accommodate six if you use the pull outs in the office. We would return and do recommend this unit highly.
So glad you enjoyed your stay - you are delightful guests and I'd welcome you again anytime.
Beautifully decorated, amply stocked and supplied, in a lovely setting
We had a wonderful time at this lovely property - from picking fresh fruit from the citrus trees, to taking in the mountain and golf course views from the comfortable seating in both of the well-furnished and landscaped outdoor areas, and spending cozy evenings around the fireplace in the great room. The kitchen and bathrooms were exceptionally well-equipped and supplied, including all the kitchen machines, towels, etc. that you could possibly need. In addition, the location was convenient, with grocery stores, shopping and restaurants within an easy drive. Would definitely recommend to others.
Thanks for being an exceptionally gracious hostess, Paula!
Wonderful Winter Getaway Home
My husband and I stayed in this lovely accommodation for the first two weeks of February. This town home is just like owning your very own spacious getaway. It is completely updated with lots of natural light and inviting outdoor spaces. The view from the back patio/yard of Pusch Ridge in the Catalina Mountains is spectacular, whether at dawn, during the day or when the sun is setting.
If you like to cook, this place is for you. Every conceivable appliance and tool is available, along with all of the staples. The house is close to 3 grocery stores as well as Costco, Sprouts and Whole Foods. If you like to bicycle, the location is also ideal. It is 0.7 miles from a trail head onto The Loop, a paved 130-mile path that covers the entire Tucson area, as well as Oro Valley.
My husband is semi-retired and loved the office area off of the kitchen, complete with excellent wireless and printer. After a few hours of "work", he would join me on a bike ride or hike or a visit to the Desert Museum. On our one cloudy, cool day in early February, I simply wrapped myself up in the blankets provided and read a book by the spa, enjoying the birds and flowers. There are several citrus trees (orange, grapefruit and lemon) that were loaded with fruit. The owner has a fruit picker as well as a juicer. We had fresh juice every morning.
We don't often stay in VRBO properties because we are quite picky. This home as nice as a Four Seasons condo in a highend resort, with a whole lot more space and privacy.
Terri and Fred -
It was an absolute delight having you here - I so enjoy a great match of people and property!
Your timing was perfect as far as the fruit - March visitors are likely to be overtaken by the scent of blossoms - that's great, too.
The first time I walked into the house this thought popped into my head: "I' could curl up and really relax here".
I'm ever so pleased you feel the same way -
Be well and come back again soon -
