We couldn't open the door so we had to sleep somewhere else.
We arrived at 1am and had arranged to check in at that time. No matter how we followed the instructions on how to enter the building we couldn't get in. We ended up sleeping on my son's floor across town. I'm sure the place is lovely. I just didn't see it.
Comfortable accommodations. Underground station (Fulham/Broadway) within acceptable walking distance.
Clean, bright, all new, with secure access up to the top floor.
We were really pleased to arrive in London and find our accommodation was so light, bright, and convenient, too. It's a new conversion on the North End Road accessed from a side street, really well thought out. Shops and banks and a market are just outside on the road.
The flat is spectacularly clean, which made it feel all the more comfortable. One double bed was a king size and in quite a large room, with its own ensuite shower room (with WC, no window). The other bedroom, at the back, had a double bed (so slightly smaller) which was pushed against the radiator/window, so a bit tight to get in and out.
The second bathroom is off the hall, WC and bath/shower, with an easily openable small window, obscured glass for privacy.
The kitchen was well serviced, we baked a pizza in the oven, the hob is gas, there were pans/bowls/utensils to enable basic food preparation. Cutlery, glassware and crockery all sufficient for four to six people.
The flat was reasonably quiet, the windows are brand new and seal really well (including the sash windows at the front)(which is the kitchen/diner/sitting room, and the main bedroom).
The heating seemed to work OK, the flat was warm (chilly March weather), and the two bathroom towel rails were really hot all the time. The downside was the hot water. There mostly wasn't any (it was just about warm, and hot for 1 out of our 5 nights), pretty annoying especially as the agent was really responsive and we're sure the maintenance team came in more than once to try to fix it. Oh, and the kitchen sink tap dripped (annoying) and both shower hoses were split so one washed your hip as much as your head. All basic problems, would be easy to fix.
The internet access feels like it is limited... you can get a web page or two but if you try to do anything major you'll be waiting hours.
We'd definitely stay again, but hope for hot water!
Parking... outside on the street about £3 an hour, not sure on how long you can stay, free after 6.30pm, lots of parking signs to read carefully!
Great location close to subway and restaurants. In a nice friendly neighbourhood with many local shops/grocery stores and street vendors. The flat was nice and met our needs. The only issue we had was that the internet speed was extremely slow to the point it was not usable. If you will be relying on wifi as we were due to cost of using data this was a big issue.
