It was such a great place
The weather was the only thing that wasn't perfect. Laura was so helpful. Thanks for everything.
Historic and wonderfully eclectic and comfortable!
What a fantastic time spent at Wanderland! We were there for my husband’s 50th birthday and bourbon tour. What a unique home and atmosphere. Felt like being transported back in time yet with amazing and eclectic art throughout the home. Plenty of space for all! Thank you Laura, looking forward to coming back again!
Great space for seven friends!
The house is set up perfectly for what we needed - three single friends and two couples. Everyone had their own bathroom and plenty of space. The house had everything we needed! bathrooms are a bit small and dark (to be expected in a home this age!) but well equipped. Great outdoor covered area for lounging and looking out for raccoons. We were bummed we didn't see any!
We so enjoyed our stay, thank you Laura!!
We loved the area, the house, the animals and Laura was friendly and informative. She stopped by with baby squirrels, racoons and possums. This is a 200 year old house so if you are looking for a Hilton Deluxe...keep looking. But if you like character, charm and history this is a must.
Unique Historic Home
We had a wonderful time at this fascinating home! What a fantastic mix of history in the home and contemporary art throughout. It was very spacious with plenty of bathrooms and the pool was a ton of fun! The animals outside were an added bonus. We fell in love with the cats and horses. Thank you for a great stay, wonderful hospitality, and clear communication. I hope to be back!
Oh my! So disappointed .........
Pictures listed on rental sites were very deceiving..very disappointed . My brother cleaned the pool all week as nobody came to do it. Kitchen appliances were VERY unclean. House is in desperate need of cleaning. Oven went out on Tuesday. My understanding a new one will be installed if parts cannot be acquired for the next renters. Ruined food we were trying to prepare for a special occasion. Couldn't use it rest of the week. Air condition units had a horrible odor to them. One leaked underneath, had to keep pan under it and empty it 2-4 times a day. Rooms were very dark. Entire house was very unkept. A lot of unsafe features in the house that should be addressed. We were visited by the roaches on Wednesday night which by the time we left were pretty bad. Had company drive 4 hours Thursday to have dinner and visit. In the middle of dinner 2 roaches crawled across the table. How awful!!. We had to rewash any thing we used since my sister found them in the dishwasher the next morning. Animals on grounds are in need of some TLC, especially the horses. Laura was a nice person and very free spirited but I and my family feel this house should not be listed as a vacation rental. Don't know what guidelines VRBO go by but they evidentially they need to check homes a little closer. I realize that this house is 200 years old and maybe at one time it was restored very nicely but not now!
