Wonderful 5 night stay for our 40th anniversary.
We loved this magical cottage. It was perfect for us, charming decor, comfy bed, and the location was great. Grocery store close by. Did a day trip to Enumclaw, 40 miles, where we were married. Took another day trip to Crystal Mountain Resort & rode the gondola up the mountain & had a majestic view of Mt. Rainier. Took 2 day trips on the light rail train, 8 blocks away, to downtown Seattle for Pikes Place Market, Museum of pop art, etc. Jackie was fantastic, very responsive to our questions, & had water, yogurt, cereal, coffee... waiting for us. Loved her dogs, Amira & Betsy and had fun getting to know her brother who was visiting from Australia. Will definitely come back to stay here on our next Washington trip. Thanks Jackie! Matt & Sarah from Illinois
We enjoyed you so much as well and look forward to seeing you again. Jackie, Danny, Amira and Betsy.
Cozy and quiet
Came up to Seattle for the Pearl Jam Home Shows. I stayed at the cottage for 5 nights. It was an awesome stay, I really loved the cottage. It's cozy and the neighborhood was really quiet, so I was able to relax. Jackie is a great host, and she made sure I had everything I needed. Before I came out for my trip, I had some questions, and Jackie had an awesome response time and was able to help me with everything. The access to the cottage was easy with it's own side gate entrance. The price was cheaper than any hotel I could find downtown, and getting Downtown was easy. There's a bus line and the Light Rail, both close to the cottage and can get you into downtown relatively quick. I was able to get around quite easy. It's a quick walk to Lake Washington, and Jackie has a kayak that you use if you'd like to take a paddle around the lake. If I need to a place to stay next time I come to Seattle, I will definitely be looking to see if the cottage is available.
Nice and quiet
The cottage was lovely. It was a nice place to stay and decompress. Thank you!
Perfect and cozy!
The cottage is perfect! I was so comfortable with the beautiful natural light (but curtains available for privacy.) It was easy to come and go as needed with the easy parking available in the driveway and I had everything I needed right there in the cottage (plenty of towels, a few snacks, Wifi info, etc.) so I never even needed to bother Jacqueline but I knew she was readily available if needed and she was friendly and welcoming upon my arrival. Great neighborhood close to lots of restaurants and the Columbia City light rail stop maybe five minutes away. The cottage is so charming and unique - I just loved it.
Thank you SO much for staying at the cottage. You were a great guest. Please come again.
Great place in a convenient location
The cottage is very cozy and the energy is positive ! The area is close to a lot of stores, restaurants, and such. The neighborhood is quaint and I really enjoyed my stay !
Visitors from Kansas
We were in Seattle for our grandson's graduation from Seattle University. The rest of our family stayed at another VBRO. We did not need to prepare anything to eat at the cottage. It would have been difficult to cook and wash dishes as the only sink was also the bathroom sink.
The cottage was great. The decor was eclectic. It was a bit small but met our needs. There was a lot of things in the cottage like electric an fireplace, large book case, refrig, microwave. The bathroom was behind a divider screen in the same room. The shower was small but again met our needs.
One thing that I would change is the amount of throw rugs in the cabin. We are elderly and the rugs seemed to be get in our way.
I know it sounds like we did not like the cottage but we did overall. We would stay again if ever in Seattle. If we had more time to enjoy the yard and fire pit, it would have been better, but our schedule did not allow for that.
Thank you for the opportunity to have a pleasant stay in Seattle.
Close to Pike Street Market, Seward Park and hiking trails. Blocks to Lake Washington
