About Sally or Ron
Ron and Sally live on a working farm in mid-Wales. Ron has a long term interest in Italian classic cars and that is what brought us to Italy in the first place. One of our car friends has a hotel in Cervia where we would stay but we frequently went inland to walk and to enjoy the beautiful Italian countryside, and we eventually decided to buy a house of our own. Our friends helped us to find and to buy Canova, which we instantly fell in love with. We have since made good friends in the locality, helped by Sally teaching herself Italian. Some of them are the local farmers and Ron finds that he has much in common with them. Some are Italians who have houses in the hills where it is cooler in the summer than in the towns where they live.
Sally or Ron purchased this House in 2002
Why Sally or Ron chose Premilcuore
We chose Canova because the house was in a stunning location and it did not need too much renovation. It had an authentic unspoilt feel to it, and it offered beautiful natural surroundings and great peace and quiet.
What makes this House unique
Being a farmer is a stressful occupation and you live surrounded by jobs you need to do. At Canova Ron is able to switch off from all that and really relax. Sally loves wildlife and she is thrilled by the abundance of interesting wildflowers, birds, insects and animals. There are few other tourists in the locality, despite it being just as attractive as many other parts of Italy, and for us that is an added appeal.

Paradise in a Polar Blast
This homely thick walled cottage, with minuscule windows, is everything a forest cottage should be. Unfortunately for us, we struck a spring polar blast with rain and floods. Sally kept the wood pile high and dry so we were able to warm hands and hearts in the evenings because of her foresight. This is no Tuscan vineyard with a pretty village nearby, its a grand spectacular forest retreat with a real mountain village half an hour away. Make sure you're prepared for a long mountain drive. But drives around the district are rewarding.
Heel stille plek. Genoten!!
