Unique Hexagon Design, 1 Bedroom, Large Bath, Expansive Water and Mountain Views

Perfect getaway, situated on 2.38 acres with sweeping views of Mt. Baker, Hales Passage and the Canadian Rockies. This hexagon shaped home has a sky lite at the apex. Step into luxury, the home has just been decorator remodeled with new furnishings and art work. The living room has a wood burning fireplace, Queen sleeper sofa, comfortable seating and unbeatable views. Go from the living room to the bedroom and get additional views while you relax in the Queen size bed. The bathroom is very large about the size of a bedroom. It has a jetted tub which would accommodate 2, two separate sink/vanities, full shower and water closet in a separate area and 2 very large closets. The kitchen has a 2 burner range, apartment size dishwasher, frig and counter Breville convection oven plus additional appliances and it is fully stocked with all dishes, etc. Off the kitchen is the laundry room with washer/dryer. Step outside to the deck and you can enjoy the view while lounging in the chairs or dining after a BBQ. There is another very large deck close to the water and steps leading down to the beach. You have full use of the grounds which is a mixture of natural plantings, lawn and shrubs. There is another home on the grounds but it is not occupied. Come and enjoy an experience you will never forget.

Very cozy, clean, peaceful accommodations w/ stunning views to boot!

I’m a former native to the island and wanted to showcase it to my family that has never been there before. I chose this property to do so and it exceeded my expectations and then some! Very clean, peaceful, wonderful views of Mt. Baker that I had so many fond memories waking up to, the list could go on and on. I appreciate the work the owners have done to make their property a wonderful stay.

Comfortable house. The beach provided top notch opportunities for exploring. Bike riding on the main roads was great with very little traffic. Secluded location with no need to interact with people unless you wanted to

Beautiful and cosy

My family of 4 reserved this place almost last minute and I am actually glad that our other exorbitant booking fell through. The home has a stunning view, its very comfortable and has a friendly usable kitchen.

Peaceful and quiet

Great location, kids had lots of fun running around the large property, and private beach. Only complaint is the pull-out sofa bed mattress is quite uncomfortable. It has coils inside the mattress, its not possible to crawl across it without a coil causing discomfort. It was a odd findings since we found everything else to be in top notch condition.

A Stunning Property with One Exception

I must start by saying we loved this spot and the fact that it was pet friendly. It's charming with the most incredible views. We knew there were some quirks about the kitchen from reading previous reviews (it's tiny with only one working stovetop burner and a toaster/convection oven as the only oven) so they didn't bother us. The only reason I'm taking a star away is that it's listed as a two bedroom and it's only a one bedroom. There's a pull out couch in the living room but not a second bedroom. This was a problem for us because we needed that second bedroom for our toddler (a separate space with a door that wasn't open at all to the main part of the house). We made it work with only one bedroom but it wasn't ideal for our situation. All that said, I would highly recommend it for a couple!

Lummi Island is an artist's island and there are several galleries for you to visit. Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day is especially fun as there is a self guided tour of all the artists and their work. They range from larger than life bronze sculptures, to pottery, glass work, jewelry, and unique Kelp Baskets. Boat trips are available through West Shore Marine and if you just want a scenic walk you have to go no farther than the road in front of the home which is on a 7 mile loop almost entirely by the water. Interested in photography? A naturalist will take you on a tour and you can have photography lessons at the same time. Like to hike? The trek up Lummi Mountain is a good one and the view from the top, breathtaking There are also 3 easy walking trails maintained by the Heritage Trust. Bike rentals are also available.
