Seasongs is a beautiful custom built waterfront home overlooking Holmes Harbor. This home has 2 bedrooms - one with a queen bed and the other with built in twin bunk beds. The home has a very open floor plan, wood floors, modern feel and the side of the house that faces the water has floor to ceiling windows to enjoy the water, trees and wildlife. Big glass doors in the living room lead out to a large deck with outdoor dining space as well as a gas grill. The yard is landscaped in front, and natural woods in the back, on the water side. There is a large hammock in the yard for your enjoyment as well.
This house is very bright and open. High end finishes, artistic touches, and classic furnishings. The living room includes a propane stove, entertainment system, comfortable seating, cozy feel, even with the wall of windows. The kitchen is open to the living space, and has full size modern stainless steel appliances. There is a bar to sit at, or a full dining table that seats 6. A small piano is available for your use, complete with sheet music, should you be so inclined.
The bathroom is modern and elegant, with a towel warmer and a heated floor. This is located between the kitchen and master bedroom. Simple clean furnishings in the bedroom with the wall of windows and built in drawers and cabinets for your things. The other bedroom has a built in bunk bed (twin each) right next to those great view windows. The top bunk is extra high - with such great views as one lie there it might be hard to want to get up! But do be aware if your child doesn't like heights, as the ladder is tall and the bunk is open at the end.
Shopping, eating, wine tasting, hiking, biking, parks, water fun etc. is all close by! Shopping and dining opportunities can be found in nearby Langley and Freeland. At the center of the island and the oldest town in Washington State is Coupeville, another local treasure to enjoy. A great home base for fun locally, Whidbey Island is also close to Seattle, Port Townsend, Anacortes, and the San Juan Islands for an enjoyable day trip. For evening entertainment, we have a small town theater that runs current movies right in Langley, as well as various live theater options. From arts, farmers markets, music, and seasonal events such as winery, farm and art tours, to apple pressing, parades, welcoming the whales, etc. there is often many more activities happening around here than one can possibly partake in!
PLEASE NOTE: If traveling with a small child that needs a dark quiet room to nap, you may wish to consider another home. Also to note, the bedrooms have partial walls - they don't go all the way up to the ceiling, so noise can travel more easily.
Also, the owner does bring along a cat when staying at the house. So although there is a no pet policy, and we do have a professional cleaner come after every visitor, anyone with pet allergies should be aware of this.
