Walk everywhere - the beach, Rosemary, Alys Beach, Seacrest
Thank you for staying with us! Your vacation is important to my wife and I, you had options and chose to entrust us with your vacation plans. Our company is Playon30a- we are a family run business with only a couple of units in the Villages at Seacrest complex. Playon30a was founded in 2015 by Michael and Andrea McKenzie of Dawsonville, GA. While our entry into the rental business on 30a is relatively new our family has been coming to this area since the late 90's. The complex you are staying in was built in 2005 and my widowed mother purchased a bed and breakfast unit like the one you are staying in pre-construction. For several years she managed renting of the unit by herself and had great success providing quality lodging at an affordable price nestled in what I would call the most beautiful place on the planet. In May 2006 my wife and I were married on the shores of Rosemary beach with a reception following at the town hall. In 2015 we followed my mothers footsteps and invested in 2 rental properties at the Villages. Through the years we have watched this small beach community grow but manage to keep its small beach town charm. The facility you are staying at is one of the few brick constructed buildings in the area. At the front of the complex is a pavilion with several small businesses in the cabana's and live acoustic music on occasion. In the back and to the left is Seacreast. To the right of the property is Rosemary and across 30a with the blue tin roof is High Pointe. Whether you walk, bike or drive 30a you will find many attractions in the area. Helen State Park, Inlet beach, Rosemary's cobblestone street, the sugary white sand, emerald water, Southern hospitality - you are unlikely to find the kind of peace this area offers any where else in the Caribbean. So kick off your shoes, enjoy a cold beverage and Play on 30a!
Mike purchased this Condo in 2016
Why Mike chose Seacrest Beach
The Experience and of course the memories! Being so close to everything lets you jump right into the 30a lifestyle but quickly take a step back for a relaxing retreat.

Thoroughly enjoyed it. Great location.
Convenient to everything.
I was very pleased with the room and the location. Mike was fabulous with his communication prior to my arrival and I would definitely stay here again.
Great condo for a couple or two friends! Really enjoyed our stay. Owner was very responsive and helpful. Definitely would stay there again!
Wonderful stay at Seacrest Beach
Our property manager, Mike, was fabulous! He was easy to connect from the start and was extremely accommodating. The room was perfect for our short stay. It had everything we needed and the resort provided us with access to the beach, a pool, food/drink and entertainment. We loved being a short walk to Rosemary Beach as well. We would definitely stay again!
Only issue was the AC, but otherwise a good stay
Thanks Nick! Sorry about the AC- we had the AC guys come out and look at it immediately following your stay. Seems a faulty connection was the issue and they have run a brand new wire and updated all connections. Issue 100% resolved and tested so I hope you'll make your way back down to 30a and give us another try. Thanks!! Mike
My daughter and I celebrated her 13th Birthday in Florida! Mike was a great resource for places to eat and things to do in the area! The room was very clean and in an excellent location! We will definitely be back to visit!!
shades on the loop - this is bar food but they have really good chicken wings and a great selection of beer
Cuvee- they have great appetizers if you get there early with early bird prices and a really great selection on the menu however this place is a little pricey
Tapas Restaurant next to Rosemary town hall- they have a great selection of small dishes. Lamb is great and so is the fondue
The Pearl - A very expensive hotel with some nightlife poolside in the evening. They also have the haVanna restaurant which serves Cuban food and is usually consistent on quality
The donut hole- really great breakfast and will typically have the line out the door but my experience is they move that line very quickly so worth the wait
acme oyster house over in Sandestin – reasonably priced and they have oysters that are chargrilled and quite delicious
The red bar in Grayton Beach- variety of food from oysters to steak to hamburgers. The weight is usually long to get in but the ambience is quite unique and would be like a bar
Accessing the beach- if you walk past the villages towards Alys beach you will see a large beach chair on the right with a sign that says Seacrest Beach. Directly across from that is the entrance for the beach. There is a gate there however if you let the guard know you were staying at the villages by showing your yellow wrist band they should let you continue by foot to the beach walk over. The better option is to use the tram which is a golf cart that will carry you over there and drop you off right at the beach entrance
chair rental – you can rent chairs on the beach with an umbrella and this is ideal if you don't want to lug your beach chairs down with you. However Rentals can be expensive I have seen them at $50 per day and $30 for half a day. When you walk down the stairs to the beach The rental guys will be on your right usually
cooler – if you are going to take beverages to the beach I highly recommend either a rolling cooler or a shoulder carry cooler that you can put ice in along with a couple of snacks. there is no ice machine at the condo but you can purchase ice from the sundries shop in the villages if it is open
inlet beach public beach access- this is a hidden jewel that is in the inlet beach community right next to Rosemary if time permits I recommend driving your vehicle over there parking and walking along the beach down towards
Helen state park- this area was a real joy to walk around and sightsee yet. If you like history and want to see where lake Powell meets the ocean I recommend it. prices were six dollars per day per vehicle earlier this year
Bike Rentals- in front of the villages where your condo is there are several bikes for rent. These are great to get around on however parking can sometimes be a challenge if you go over to Rosemary or to the beach access.
