Our stay was cut short due to a death in the family however the days we stayed were nice. .

The cabin was very nice and clean. It's not updated but who would want a cabin to be! Beautiful view from the cabin and the screened in front porch is wonderful! Lots of waterfalls and hiking close by. Hartwell lake is worth renting a boat and checking out. Would recommend to others.

A great, pet friendly lake house that meets all your needs for a memorable, relaxing lake vacation.

  • 5 of 5

A wonderful, dog friendly house that met, and exceeded, all our needs. We're already looking forward to booking another visit so we can use the lake and the beautiful quiet cove. Owners are quick to respond to texts and are very accommodating, extremely gracious hosts. The house is set in a cove on the western side of the Seneca branch of Lake Hartwell, which makes it easy to boat to restaurants in Anderson and Clemson. Grocery stores and restaurants are close and very easy to find. We were pleasantly surprised at how close, and easy to see, the lake was from the house(due to a previous review). Even with the lake down nearly 11 feet there was still boatable water, which at this lake is remarkable. At full pool I can only imagine the beauty that greets you as you walk through the trees to the dock. Lake Hartwell is a Corp of Engineers lake and they own the entire lake shore. Few properties have a close corp line and this property is lucky to be one of them. If you and your dog are looking for a quiet, simple place to relax on the lake, you will not be disappointed. Please remember to clean up after your pet so the owners keep allowing us to bring them with us on vacation. Be sure to check out Waldrop's Restaurant for their lunch specials, Saturday evening low country boil/special dinner and Sunday Brunch. Also Barnwood Grill for their breakfast special and their burgers.

Nice place, spacious and clean!

  • 5 of 5

I thought the cabin was spacious, clean and overall a great deal. We had a miscommunication about the hot water and that should be resolved for anyone staying there from here on. The owners are easy going and told me that they would make sure that no one else would have the same confusion. He even offered me a few nights free if I go back! We were on the go and instead of calling I sent an email and being a holiday weekend, they didn't get the email until we had left. A simple phone call by me would have resolved everything ASAP. Overall I think it is a great place to stay!
