Stunning 3bd/2ba with gourmet kitchen & hot tub in heart of Sonoma Wine Country.
Beautifully renovated, one-story home with all the amenities set in a gorgeous, neighborhood sprinkled with oak trees, in the heart of Sonoma County Wine Country. Here is just a taste of what your vacation might look like staying in this 3 bedroom, 2 bath nearly 2,000 sq ft. gem....
While preparing a delicious meal in the large, well-stocked, gourmet kitchen, enjoy a glass of wine sitting at the 10-foot granite island bar. Gather for dinner in the dining room or on the large deck while grilling up a storm on the outdoor BBQ and bar. Splash in the sun or unwind at the end of the day in the large, soothing hot tub. The swing on the stone patio provides a cozy spot to star gaze and enjoying the crackling outdoor fire pit.
In the morning enjoy your coffee or tea on the deck or it is chilly, while curling up in the recliner by the wood-burning fireplace in the formal living room. Adults and kids alike will share good times by playing the piano or playing one of the many available games at the game table. Relax together and watch a family favorite from one of the prime channels while warming up by the electric fireplace located next to the big comfy couch and chaise lounge in the family room.
If the sun is shining, read a book and doze on a chaise lounge on the back deck while the kids play on the lawn or on the large flat driveway, great for activities. If the weather is on the warm side, turn the heat off in the hot tub and go for a dip or escape from the heat with central air and a cool drink inside.
After a day of fun, sleep soundly in brand new linens on one of the 3 plush, queen beds located in each of the tastefully decorated bedrooms. The master suite has a stunning master bath featuring a walk in shower with etched glass wall, dual shower heads, granite counter, shower bench and dual sinks. The front bath has beautifully tiled full shower, soaking tub and dual sinks.
The neighborhood is frequently referred to as "Mayberry" as it feels like a throw back to a more simple time. It is open with custom homes and large beautiful yards. Many people walk through the oak studded open space and through the neighborhood to take in the beauty and fresh air while getting a bit of exercise. It is not unheard of to take this stroll while carrying a glass of wine or coffee. Hot air balloons often float over in the mornings.
Take a less than fifteen minute drive to paradise in all directions:
Hundreds of fabulous restaurants and shops on the Healdsburg Square, on the quaint Windsor Town Green or in historic downtown Santa Rosa. While enjoying free summer Tuesday night movies or the Thursday night concert series on the Windsor Town Green, enjoy a glass of wine or beer and some of the great local restaurant cuisine at the evening Farmers Market. End the evening with a stroll to Powell's Sweet Shoppe for old fashion candy or gelato.
Dozens and dozens of world renowned wineries are a stones-throw away and in some of the most stunning foothills and countryside you will ever see. Wine events, concerts and festivals are a wonderful and common Sonoma County entertainment.

Several local and regional parks are close by for kids and adults alike. You can enjoy hiking, bike riding, horseback riding, sight-seeing and more all within a 5-15 minute drive. Movie theaters, miniature golf, arcades, car racing and more kid friendly activities are all nearby around the county.

Wells Fargo Center (or as we locals still call it, The Luther Burbank Center for the Arts) consistently hosts world class entertainment and is 10 minutes away. Many other music, entertainment and nightlife venues are located throughout the county.
Beautiful Sonoma Coast with the historic and quaint town of Bodega, Bodega Bay and Jenner and several Russian River access points are within 45 minutes away.

Great retreat and family HQ for wedding weekend.
The house is great, and has everything. Very charming house and neighborhood. Our family was gathering for a niece's wedding, coming in from all over California and Arizona. Gail's house gave us all a nice, quiet place to retreat and recharge from the chaos of the wedding prep.
Gail's instructions and communication were awesome. She was a pleasure to work with. Her binder of info about the house and restaurants, etc. was a great resource. She was VERY responsive as we traded texts/calls during the sign-up process and during the weekend itself.
Felt very much like you were spending the weekend at the house of your family member with great taste and wonderful hospitality, and not at all like you were at just some rental.
We all had a great time, and enjoyed Gail's home very much.
Thank you so much for the lovely review! I am so glad you foundd some peace and quiet and felt so much at home. Love to hear that! It was an absolute pleasure having you and your family here. Everything was left in great shape and my neighbors were happy too!
Hope to have you visit again soon!
Thanks again. Safe and happy travels!
Comfortable, convenient, & approachable
Gail was fantastic. Our crowd of 10 was incredibly comfortable at her home, and our stay went off without a hitch. The rental is lovely, and sports all kinds of fantastic amenities that she doesn't even advertise. (Hello, towel warmers, Bidet toilet, gorgeous cookware, fully stocked coffee/tea bar, fire pit, giant BBQ grill...) Stellar provisions, approachable host, and a seamless check-in/check-out procedure made this an overall fantastic rental.
THANK YOU, GAIL! We hope you'd consider having us back next time around.
Amazing home and host!
Gail was very helpful and communicated wonderfully. The home was amazing. Equip with pots and pans to make breakfast in the morning for everyone. Coffee beans in the freezer was a nice touch. All my friends slept comfortably and there was plenty of room inside and outside for casual activities.
Thank you for lovely review. It was great having you and your friends here for your birthday celebration weekend. Glad you enjoyed the house, the coffee and of course the wine tasting in the area.Loved the nice notes in the guest book too. Love hearing that people felt at home and had a great time.
Thanks so much! Happy and safe travels.
Decent Property, Exceptionally Unresponsive Owner
We stayed here for a wine weekend event. The property is fine, with a decent hot tub that's quite relaxing if a bit poorly maintained - the heating unit was falling apart, and one of the jets was not working. The kitchen is great, and it's a short drive to downtown Healdsburg, which is lovely.
My overall complaint is the byzantine clean-up rules and procedures - we felt we left the house relatively clean, but the owner complained of "clean dishes not put away", "dirty dishes in dishwasher", "food on rug", "moved furniture not put back".
Due to a bug in the HomeAway app I wasn't originally able to see these complaints - all I could see was the title of the message. I called Gail twice over the course of a week and received no response, so had to spend an hour with HomeAway technical support just to see what the issue was. She didn't respond to their call as well.
Read the rental agreement carefully. They charge a cleaning fee but state that "excessive" cleaning will result in further charges - which ended up being over double the mandatory cleaning fee already charged. I was supplied with some pictures which were supposed to be damning evidence, including an image of a pita chip on the floor, a chair moved out of place, and two hand towels not placed in the basket in the garage per instructions.
My one-star comes from how exceptionally unresponsive the owner was. I did not receive any information about how to check in via email despite messaging several times in the app, and had to get that information over phone as I was driving up. That's fine, but not answering the phone several times feels unprofessional and disrespectful.
I didn't document the fact that one of the jets wasn't working, which was a mistake. I purchased insurance protection (which I highly recommend before staying here), but due to the lack of response I don't have any documentation (pictures, receipts) with which to make a claim.
Again, it's a decent property, but make sure you follow all instructions absolutely to the letter, and realize you'll get dinged with a hefty cleaning fee if you stray outside the owner's fairly strict definition of "excessive" - and don't be prepared to have any recourse if you do!
Not sure where to start with this. Not a fan of saying anything negative. But realized this contains so much incorrect information had to respond. To this point, I had NEVER charged anyone for excessive cleaning, but had to make an exception here which was disappointing to say the least. I hated doing it. Dirty dishes on the counter, on the stove, in the dishwasher (most people run it on the way out the door which is great), beds not stripped, garbage not taken out, food debris literally all over the rugs in the house and other items I won't even mention. Wet towels left on furniture and rugs. Basically zero attempt to leave the house in the order it is left in by every other guest I have had the pleasure of having here. Not only did the simple check out procedures not get followed, it was like there was an expectation that someones mom was going to come through and clean up after them. If leaving a house like that is okay to you, I am fearful of what it was like before you cleaned it.
I am sorry you didn't receive the access info I sent a week in advance. I didn't know you didn't receive it until you let me know while you were driving up. After deducting the excessive cleaning fee from your deposit I received two texts from you which I replied to and finally advised you to look at the info already provided to you through the website or to call VRBO for further details. Glad you did. I never received a call from them. And no I didn't charge you double the cleaning fee by any stretch of the imagination.
Yes there is 1 jet of 4 that has not worked for 2 years. It's a swim spa and that jet is designed to create current to swim against. We, and apparently all our other guests have never had it prohibit us from enjoying it as a hot tub.
So sad this was an unpleasant experience on both sides. I am sorry for my part. Will just chalk this up to the odds that every once in while you get a bad fit. Luckily, 99.9% of the time I enjoy coming home to a home that has been well enjoyed, well cared for, a nice story in our guest book and great feedback from our neighbors. I love sharing our home and Sonoma County and will continue to be optomistic and have happy guests in the future.
Beautiful home, comfortable stay
We had a lovely time in Windsor. Gail was just fabulous to work with - very responsive, always willing to answer our questions. The house is beautiful and in a great location. We had everything we needed there - and we did a lot of cooking and baking. The hot tub is wonderful. The master bath is too! As it was Thanksgiving, we spent most of our time hanging out at the house. But we also explored the village a bit, did some mountain biking nearby, and had a great time at Safari West. We highly recommend this house and the surrounding area for a getaway.
Awww! Thank you for lovely review Jenny. It was wonderful having you here and sorry we didn't actually get a chance to meet. I am so glad you got to enjoy the home and the area for Thanksgiving. One of the best times of year here. Love sharing our blessings with others. After the fires, we feel even more fortunate to live where we do. So grateful your family got to enjoy it too.
Hope you have you and your family back again soon. Happy New Year and thanks again!
We had a great stay. Very quiet location and nicely appointed house. Would definitely like to stay again.
Hi Steve, I apologize I didn't see this earlier. Happy New Year!
Thank you so much for the nice review. It was great having all of you here!
Hope to have you back in 2018!
