Cottages near Crackington Haven, Cornwall - Enjoy all that Cornwall has to offer
About Lorraine Harrison
I'm Lorraine and I live in the farmhouse next to the cottages with my partner Geoff and our two teenage daughters. We moved here in 2000 just before the children started at school. Growing up with large gardens to run and play, animals and the beach just down the road was the perfect start for a four and two year old. Over the years we have become friends with many of our guests who return time after time, some of whom have actually moved nearby. We show all our guests into the cottages and are always here if you have any problems or you just want a chat. Having worked for John Lewis for over 20 years, looking after our customers/guests is our top priority.

Why Lorraine Harrison chose Warbstow
We looked around north Cornwall for two years to find somewhere to buy, but nothing excited us, until we turned into the tree lined drive of Trenannick Farmhouse. It was a thundery day in December 1999 and there were massive downpours, but the moment we turned into the drive Geoff said he wanted to buy it. It could have been a total wreck and we would have moved in, but luckily everything was perfect. We had looked at many properties before but the combination of a 16th century farmhouse, the kind of cottages that we would like to have stayed in, the views, and the great base for future guests to tour from made the decision to buy a very easy one.
What makes this Cottage unique
We have the best of all worlds here. The views, the peace and quiet, the slower pace of life, locals have time to talk to each other, beach visits after school, walks on the moor and along the coast, great pubs and restaurants, a great local cinema, what's not to like! With the A39 just down the lanes this is the perfect base to explore all that north Cornwall has to offer.

Perfect location and a peaceful haven
The pictures don't do it justice. This place is lovely, the cottages are cosy and spotlessly clean with everything you could need in the kitchen and Netflix on the TV just in case. The outside space is perfect for kids to roam and explore including a large BBQ area and another lovely space for footie and swings. Each cottage has it's own private front garden with a bench and table in case you have a warm evening, and it was surrounded by flowers and shrubs which made it feel quite secluded from the other cottages.
It is a 5 min drive to the A39 which quickly takes you to the coast including Port Isaac, Padstow, Tintagel, Boscastle, Bude and Widemouth. Bodmin and the Eden Project are not far in the other direction.
The owners, Lorraine and Geoff and so friendly and couldn't be more helpful/accommodating. All in all it was the perfect place to stay and we will try to return as soon as we can.
Hi Kate, thank you so much for spending the time to write such a glowing review, that's very much appreciated. Glad to know that you enjoyed your stay here and that we may see you at some time in the future.
