PLEASE E-MAIL WITH YOUR REQUESTED DATES. We call our bungalow 'Paradise' because it is! Once you cross over the bridge, from Eastpoint to St. George Island, you leave all your cares, concerns and problems behind. You are ready to relax! Leave your watch at home because you are on 'island' time.
St. George Island is a charming community. 'Paradise' is right on the beach. Our unit is upstairs, on the left side of the building. Sunrises from the master bedroom are spectacular! You can also view them from our sun porch or screen porch. We have rocking chairs and a large round table on the screen porch for delightful meals or just rocking the day away. 'Paradise' is pet friendly. Call or e-mail us about your pet.
We have furnished the unit with everything you need, to feel like you are at home. It is professionally cleaned with fresh linens and towels, placed in our 'newly' remodeled bathroom. The following items you'll need to bring or buy at the local market: tiolet paper, paper towels, tissues, paper plates, cups for the beach; plastic wrap, zip locks; bathing soap, shampoo, diswasher detergent, laundry detergent, dish soap; coffee filters; condiments; sun screen, bug spray, hats, beach umbrella, beach towels, chairs, your favorite book or magazines.
St. George Island is a family oriented community, located on Florida's Forgotten Coast. Our unit is within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants. Everything is geared towards outdoor living.
Apalachicola is a historical city on the mainland. It is fun to stroll around the streets. Stop in and have an ice cream at the old fashion ice cream fountain. Shop in stores that are friendly and helpful. Many different churches are available for Sunday morning worship.
Come and join us in 'PARADISE'
I would have to say that WE LOVE THIS PLACE. The house, the view, comfortable beds what else can I say.
We only got to stay a couple of nights but are definitely booking this place again. Kristi was awesome, could not have ask for anything better. Kept us informed because of the hurricane that was suppose to hit. Thank God it didn't.
We love this island and are so happy that we found Paradise Bungalow
My friend and I were looking for something quiet, affordable and right on the beach for a long girl's weekend and we found it at Paradise Bungalow. From the start Kristi, the owner, answered my many questions promptly and provided great instructions on how to enter the unit, where the heat and ac are located, etc. The pictures don't do this unit justice; it's been upgraded quite a bit. All new living room furnishings, new stove, dishwasher, washer/dryer combo and toilet. Does need a new fridge tho - the handle is missing so makes it tuff to open and the front is covered in sticky paper with an beach scene, but it's clean and it works just fine. We loved that it's on the 2nd floor of a 4 unit (2 lower/2 upper) building, providing terrific views of the beach/ocean. The 2 units on the first floor may have larger deck areas but their views are limited due to the sand dunes and they seem dark inside because of the regular height ceilings. The woodened beamed cathedral ceilings really open up the space and make it seem more spacious and light. My friend isn't much into the sun so the outdoor space suited us perfectly; I sat on the deck and got sun and she rocked in one of the rockers reading on the screened in /covered porch. I like that the covered porch is carpeted, easy on the feet, we had breakfast out there every morning. However, the deck flooring and handrails are need of some TLC, some areas are rough w/ crocked boards so be careful. In February it's comfortably cool so we didn't need to open windows during the day, instead we left the large French doors to the deck open for fresh air. But we noticed a note on most windows saying "do not open". It appears they are in need of upgrading/repair. If I visited in a warmer time of year, that may bother me as I love to have the windows open and breath in the salt air. The kitchen was very well stocked with more items than I have in my own kitchen at home. Before arriving I had asked Kristi if there was a baking dish and she couldn't recall...note: there are 4 of them! I contracted the flu on our last day and I asked Kristi if it was Ok if we departed a few hours later and she gave us the OK, it was very much appreciated. Unlike Panama City, there are no application fees or cleaning fees, just the rental cost, state taxes and she holds your personal check for the security deposit which was returned very promptly upon our arrival home. We definitely will be back, only hopefully staying longer.
This is a wonderful bungalow right on the beach with a gorgeous view of the sunrise each morning over the Gulf. It was perfect and kept amazingly clean. We will definitely be back!
Our first time on SGI and we will definitely be back to stay in Paradise again!!! Not the newest or fanciest place, however the price was right for our budget and everything was clean and the condo was fully stocking with everything we needed. There were 6 of us and we had plenty of room. Enjoyed being right on the beach. We saw lots of dolphin, all kinds of crabs, starfish and sea life. We kayaked, biked and explored all around. We felt like we had our own private beach for the most part. To say it was not crowded would be a huge understatement. Thank you Kristi, you were a pleasure to deal with and your place was great, we most definitely can’t wait for next time!!!
Paradise was exactly what we expected! It was affordable, beach front, pet friendly and very clean! Kristi was very professional and we will be back!
3rd time in Paradise. Spotless and clean as usual. Everything was perfect. Kristi keeps her place very clean and orderly. I love the decor. Cannot say much more then we will be back!
