Why Ian Hylands chose Glasgow
The Honeyholm was originally worker cottages and is one of the oldest homes in the area. The cottage has been fully renovated as you can see from our facebook page. We have retained old stone walls and the original fireplace inside., now with a large wood burning stove. Adjacent to Honeyholm stone bridge and the river Endrick, the cottage has a fabulous location and wonderful views of the Dumgoyne and Fintry hills.
What makes this Cottage unique
Honeyholm is a gem of a cottage , with charm and history as well as modern comforts. To sit on the patio and watch the river go by and the sun on the hills is my ideal day.

Nice place to stay
Big thanks to Ian the owner, although living next door, he got the balance perfect of being around if we needed anything or wanted to chat, but then just leaving us alone such that we didn’t even notice we had neighbours. Highlights for the property was the well maintained hot tub, the wood burning stove and the lovely views from the rear of he property. Location wise it’s a great base to explore Loch Lomond and he Trossachs with the highlight of Ben A’an only a short drive away. Thanks again for a lovely stay.
Thank you so much for your great review and for staying at The Honeyholm. I am glad you enjoyed your stay and you certainly got the weather!! It would be great to meet you all again sometime. Thanks again..Ian
Hot tub was a success! The cottage is cozy with an amazing viewing! It's well located and the owner was very helpful and kind. We loved our stay!

Quintessential Scottish countryside comfort
Honeyholm Cottage is a country perfect accommodation. The vistas of the nearby hills and pastures are superb. Loved the baby lambs frolicking on the nearby hillsides, watching the Endrick River wend its way past the edge of the garden, and playing witness to the weather changes, every five minutes! Oh, and the magnificent rainbows! It was all so idyllic, perfectly matching our imaginings for a Scotland week long getaway with our son and daughter-in-law.
The cottage itself is super comfortable. We enjoyed the large, well equipped kitchen and lounge and the three ensuite bedrooms are well appointed with comfy beds and nice linens. It is so well located for touring the numerous points of interest like Stirling Castle and Loch Lomond and wonderful and historic distilleries like Glengoyne.
Ian was a delightful host. We so enjoyed our conversations and his hospitality. Could have readily stayed another week! Highly recommend for those seeking a peaceful, laid back sojourn, or something more adventurous!
Thank you so much for your kind review. I am so glad you enjoyed your stay, we certainly enjoyed meeting you and very much appreciated your help during the 10k!!! You helped make it an international event!!! Really great to meet you all and hope you enjoyed the rest if your vacation. Thanks and would be great to meet you all another time. Ian
The cottage is spacious, clean, and has gorgeous views.
Our group consisted of five women and the cottage was perfect for us. It can be difficult to find a home with a bedroom and bathroom on the first floor and this cottage has a nice, cozy bed and bath with a walk in shower. Very accessible for someone with limited mobility. Ian was a wonderful host. He is friendly, charming, and helpful. We enjoyed the scones and jam that welcomed us. The cottage is clean and neat.
Thank you Julie
And for leaving the cottage so clean !
Hope you can visit Scotland again in the future
Nice location & cute property
The rental is located in a secluded area; the surrounding countryside & view of the bridge out the back of the property was beautiful. We appreciated the owner's advice & suggestions for local attractions. It was definitely helpful to know that the owner was accessible (they live in the adjoining property). This property was well cared for & I would not hesitate booking here again in the future.
