About the property

One bed apartment in new development 20 metres from beach

Leme Bedje is a recent development consisting of a well equipped shop, apartments and a fantastic heated communal pool in the friendly and unspoilt town of Santa Maria. It is just across the road from the beach and is considered to be one of the best development on the Island.

This first floor apartment has a spacious bedroom with wardrobe, chest of drawers, a king size bed with bedside tables, and a small safe. There are also sliding doors leading out to the balcony. The fully tiled bathroom consists of a toilet, bidet, shower and basin with a large mirror, shaving point and a bathroom cabinet

There is a kitchenette with fridge freezer, electric oven, gas hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and all utensils required for meal preparation plus a dining table with four chairs. The main living room area also has a Television with built in DVD player, a small drawer unit and a sofa bed which can sleep an additional 1 or 2 people.

From the front of the apartment there is a view over the landscaped pool area.

Local Area: The Leme Bedje development is just across the road from the beach and the Angulo Surf School and beach bar which serves great food and provides a great place to chill out with a drink. Just a little further away is the Porto Antigo restaurant and Papaya's bar. The main town is around five minutes walk and has many great shops, bars and restaurants providing more great food and live music plus more great beaches and watersports centres.

Ideal Location

We were here in September 2011 and thought it was the perfect location. It was convenient to have the pool right on the doorstep, and the development itself is not too big so it is not crowded. The beach is just a few steps across the road from the front entrance with an excellent beach bar which is a great place to eat or relax with a drink and watch the sunset. Also there are a lot of good bars and restaurants in the town which is just a few minutes walk.

The apartment was obviously new so it was clean and well equipped, and it's ideal for a relaxing holiday.

Nice apartment in a great location

I stayed in this apartment in April this year, just after it was finished. It was really nice.

Great location, with a nice pool to have a morning dip.

There is a watersports centre opposite, Angulos which is a great place to unwind, has good pizzas,and free internet if you have your own laptop.

This is a great place to unwind after a hard day on the water.

Met some lovely people in Cape Verde, and am looking forwards to returning soon,

Apartment recommended !

Cape Verde is a group of Islands off the coast of Senegal, West Africa and enjoys a good year-round climate (typically 18-30 degrees C depending on the time of year) and very low rainfall!. There are several Islands in the group that are popular with tourists and every one is very different. Sal Island itself is sandy with fantastic beaches and has a very laid-back unspoilt feel. The local people are extremely relaxed and friendly and the local culture is a vibrant mix of African and brazilian.
