Off the beaten track with no passing traffic you are just 5 minutes drive, or 20-25 minutes walk from the hustle and bustle of Whitby. Equipped to a high standard this is a perfect location to enjoy both the beautiful Heritage Coastline and explore the pretty villages of the North York Moors National Park at any time of year.
The owners regularly use the house themselves, and for family and friends, which means the house has been equipped to a high standard and is often described as a "true home from home".
The house itself has a very well equipped kitchen leading to a spacious dining room. There are three bedrooms (a double, twin & full-sized bunk beds), two bathrooms (one with a walk in shower, one with a bath), a large living room leading to a great balcony which provides alfresco dining in the warmer months or an ideal spot to sit and watch the many and varied wildlife on the river (Herons, Seals, Kingfishers, Cormorants ... one visitor saw an otter). Also not to be missed are the evocative sights and sounds of the steam trains on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway as they steam past on the other side of the river in and out of Whitby, just wave and the driver will blow the whistle!. All in all a great place in a great 'year round' location, proven by its popularity and the number of returning guests.
A quality travel cot is available for a child under 2years, but please provide your own bedding/quilt. There is also a high chair in the dining room.
For the comfort of all our guests and to maintain the highest of standards, we are strictly non-smoking
