Great place/ Great Host
Melanie is simply the best. Always there when you have a question but gives you enough space to enjoy your stay. Two Thumbs up!
Fantastic Quintessential Nantucket Experience
This house is so comfortable - the open layout was easy and enjoyable for my family and friends to relax and be together. We loved cooking in the fully equipped kitchen and dining al fresco under the stars. The sunsets are incredible! It was great being able to walk and bike to the beach, and the outdoor shower was perfect for washing off after adventures in the sand. Beds were incredibly comfortable with hotel linens! Loved the master bath jacuzzi and large format flat screen tv in the den/family room for a movie night. This is a classic Nantucket beach vacation getaway, and we will definitely return next year! Thank you for all the personal touches throughout that made it a memorable stay.
Wauwinet is perhaps most well known for Nantucket's only 5 star resort, The Wauwinet Inn, where guests can enjoy first class dining at Toppers Restaurant or stop by for a sunset cocktail on the lawn at dusk. There are multiple nature preserves and guided birdwatching, beachcombing and surfcasting trips can be scheduled. In the summer, guides can escort you to the furthest tip of the island to visit the Great Point Lighthouse. Wauwinet is the place where you can slip back in time and enjoy a Nantucket summer reminiscent of yesteryear. 7 miles from town. The Wave bus (NRTA) stops at the end of the road. Recommend renting or bringing your own vehicle for transportation.
