It has taken nearly 4 years for the owners of Velho Arvoredo to restore the quinta to it's former glory but it has been well worth the wait and the results are stunning. Nestled amongst fruit trees laden with lemons and oranges, this low lying white washed villa offers everything you could need for a relaxing holiday away from the stresses and strains of daily life. Peace and quiet, your own pool, BBQ and sunloungers for relaxing in the sun, plus an area to play boules, and table tennis, Velho Arvoredo offers everything you could need to relax on holiday.
On enterring Velho Arvoredo you a brought in to a large, well equipped kitchen with a large dining table seating 8 perfect for breakfast or casual meals. Off the kitchen is a formal dining room for something a bit special, with french doors out to the garden and the pool. From the kitchen a corridor runs the full length of the villa. There is a separate utility room with separate washing machine and tumble dryer. An extra large bathroom has a walk in shower and a separate bath, and twin sinks.Throughout the villa is a wood beamed ceiling and the owners have commissioned skilled Portuguese craftsman to produce all the bedroom furniture. The twin beroom looks over the pool, as well as the master bedroom which is at the end of the villa.
From the corridor you have a large double height hall with huge doors that open out to the ourtyard, flooding the room with light. Here there is a table tennis table, and off the hall is the living room with 3 large sofas, a flat screen TV and a fridge hidden in the sideboard, ensuring you can always keep your drinks chilled even in the height of summer.
Bedrooms 3 and 4 are reached from the courtyard. One has twin beds and the other is a double bedrooms. Each has an ensuite full bathroom and it's own wood burning stove.
Outside Velho Arvoredo is situated within a large garden of lemon and orange trees and mediterranean plants. At the back of the villa there is a large lawn area perfect for children to run and play. There is outside dining seating 8 and 8 sunloungers for relaxing around the pool. The swimming pool is also enclosed by a wall and reached through a gate providing an added element of pool safety. From the rear of the property the views over the surrounding countryside are stunning. To the right of the villa is an area to play boules.
Velho Arvoredo is located 10 minutes from Rio Maior and 30 minutes from Caldas da Rainha. The beaches at Foz do Arelho or Baleal can be reached in approximately an hour if you fancy a day at the beach.
