About Owner / Property Manager

I was born and raised in New Orleans. I am an avid gardener and love all the great things to do and see in this wonderful city. My family and I have lived and/or worked in Mid City for the past 18 years and love sharing the ins and outs of the neighborhood and New Orleans. So if you would like to know, don't hesitate to ask.

Why Owner / Property Manager chose Mid-City

They don't call it Mid-City for nothing. The house is located 1/2 block from Canal Street in the heart of Mid-City and therefore the heart of New Orleans. There are four restaurants within two blocks and 20 with in a five block radius. You can walk to Bayou St. John, and continue on to City Park. We are an easy drive and only minutes away from downtown, the French Quarter, Xavier, and the Fair Grounds.

Great place!!!

This house was a great place for our family trip! It was a very short walk to the street car and so many great restaurants!! We enjoyed having the extra space that we normally don’t have in a hotel. Thanks so much for sharing your home with us!!!

This place is wonderful! Beautiful, clean and nice, and in a great location.

Everything you need for a comfortable stay is here. Everything was in good working order. The owners were flexible on arrival and departure times. The trolley is just around the corner and we used it for daily transportation. Unlimited rides for $3.00 per day! Great restaurants and grocery shopping very close by. This place was perfect for our one week stay.

The property was in a prime location, close to everywhere we wanted to be.

We were in walking distance of plenty of food places and the supermarket. The house was nice, spacious but a little dusty. The decor was very charming and characteristic of New Orleans. It accommodated our group pretty well. Unfortunately, some of the bedding was stained and we found a cockroach in the bedroom on our last night. Also, we found some hair on the daybed. Overall, it was a nice stay.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. I will speak to our cleaning person regarding the dust. She had to clean and change everything in one day due to new guests arriving the same day so perhaps she was too rushed. I will also speak to her about reporting any stains on linens. The cockroaches will come into a hundred year old home in the summer. Unfortunately there is not much that can be done about that. It happens in my own home. Thank you again for staying with and we hope yo would stay again in the future.

Cute property but difficult for wintertime visit

  • 4 of 5

The good. Well appointed rental for the most part. Property manager promptly helped us with any items that were not available. Kitchen was functional and spacious. Bathroom was cute and functional. Bed was comfortable. Centrally located for a lot of fun site seeing and food.

The bad. The kitchen table seemed like it was on the verge of falling apart. Other than that, the furniture in the unit worked out well. The big problem was that this is not a place to stay for the wintertime. The home like most NOLA homes is old construction and performed terribly with the record lows that hit the city. My parents stayed there and both have arthritis pain whenever the floors are very cold. I mean, it was bad how cold the floors got throughout the rental. Even when cranking up the heat and adding 2 space heaters to the unit, it was no use. My parents had to check out early and go to a hotel. The property manager to her credit was very responsive and even refunded for the early departure.

Beautiful home and a great location. The home was well equipped, and the fire places in each room were beautiful. Had a little problem with the heat, but it was taken care of right away, and was probably our issue in not reading the thermostat correctly. Would definitely choose this house again.
