Sleep Easy In The Heart Of Manhattan

Bedrooms Studio
Space 400 sq. ft.
Property type apartment

About the property

Live In Quiet Luxury Like A Real New Yorker

This large studio with patio in a second-floor, pre-war walkup sleeps two in a comfy, new, queen-sized mattress with pure cotton sheets. A top-of-the-line inflatable mattress will accommodate a third person.

This apartment is not for people who want to make noise. The neighbors downstairs have an infant daughter who needs to be able to nap.

The apartment offers a respite from the hubbub that is located a few steps from the building's front door. A few blocks north, you will find KoreaTown's multitude of gustatorial offerings, the Morgan Library's architectural and literary gems, the Empire State Building's majestic presence and remnants of what used to be known as Ladies' Mile on 5th Avenue. A few blocks south you will find Madison Square Park and the Flatiron Building.

Note that it can be noisy on weekdays. Construction on a nearby building begins at 7 a.m. and ends in mid-afternoon.

Perfect location, clean, has all the amenities of home!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here for our last vacation before our baby arrives. Everything went perfectly! The location was awesome and close to tons of stores and restaurants. Lyft and Uber pick up right outside and the street is not super busy. Friends joined us for cocktails/mocktails on multiple occasions prior to dinner and we never felt crowded. We had a little problem with the heat on the first night but Tom was on it getting back to us in a timely manner for a fix. Great stay!

Owner's Response: Thanks to my guest for her kind review. I'm sorry she had a problem with the heat. In many New York apartment buildings, heat is supplied by radiators, which radiate heat throughout the building from steam supplied from a boiler in the basement. A few days earlier, when it was warmer, the previous guest had turned off the valve on the side of the radiator, shutting off the flow of steam, since it was not then needed. By the time the next guest arrived, the outside temperature had dropped. The fix was to turn the knob on the side of the radiator, restoring the flow of steam and warming up the apartment. Tom

Great location and comfortable accommodations!

  • 5 of 5

This place was perfect for a couple’s getaway in the city. Conveniently located near the subway (3 blocks) and within walking distance of many attractions. The apartment was clean and the bed was comfortable. We were not disturbed by outside noise during the night (there is construction next door during the day). Only suggestion is to provide extra washcloths (only 2 when we arrived for our 5-day stay). Would definitely stay here again!

Convenient and very pleasant place to stay

  • 5 of 5

This was a perfect place for a few day's stay. It was conveniently located, comfortably set up, and all the applicances worked (!). The owner responded quickly to any problems (e.g., we couldn't find the dishwasher soap). Even though it was right in the heart of things, we heard no noise from the streets. Yes, you have to climb two flights of stairs to get to the unit, but only once up and down with suitcases.

The owner left us detailed recommendations of good local restaurants (many), shopping and transportation options. Being right off Fifth Avenue, hailing a cab was never a problem. We were very happy with 4 East 30th.

A wonderfully charming apartment

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was charming, clean and well maintained. I couldn't have asked for anything better. The location was perfect and easily accessible to public transportation.

Tom was wonderful with his communications and helpful with recommendations regarding the neighborhood. I look forward to taking advantage of this lovely apartment and its rooftop balcony in the future.

Car: not necessary

A short stroll north of Madison Park, this apartment will doubtless give you an opportunity to live like a real New Yorker in a walkup apartment in the center of the city with a beautiful patio out back overlooking a famous church. Please note that this is not for parties or guests who want a place to make loud noise. The neighbors downstairs have an infant daughter who needs to be able to nap.
