About this property

This is an amazing Cape Code style vacation rental at the beach. 1/2 Block from the beach and grassy park this is a 2 bedroom 2 bath single level unit. Enjoy watching the waves crash and the sunsets over the pier from the front yard and living room. BBQ while relaxing and checking out the view! All within 2 blocks of the pier, restaurants, shopping and bars.

This unit features an open floor plan in the living room, dining room and kitchen. Upscaled unit with large wood planked floors throughout the cottage. There is a gas fireplace in the living room, Wifi and wall mounted flat screen TV with cable. Large kitchen with a breakfast bar that opens up to dining room table.

The master bedroom is extra large has a king sized luxury bed with an attached bathroom. The guest bedroom has a queen sized pillow top bed and a small desk. There is a full size pull out sofa in the living room. Washer and dryer in the unit. Gas grill in the front yard, great indoor outdoor living.

Super clean unit with all you need to enjoy your beach vacation. Boogie boards, beach chairs, beach towels, sand toys and beach umbrellas are all provided.

We are conveniently located 10 min from the airport, downtown San Diego and the Gaslamp area, convention center, Cabrillo National Monument. 5 Min to Sea World and 10-15 min from the San Diego Zoo. 15 min to La Jolla, 40 min from Legoland.

Perfect location 1/2 block to the beach, walking distance to great restaurants, coffee shops, bars and shopping. Enjoy the local farmers market on Wednesdays, local crafters on the weekends at the beach and the west coasts longest concrete pier! You will love staying in this fantastic beach cottage!

Super nice host well appointed, super clean cottage.

We really loved our stay here. Everything we needed was available and the cottage looked great, was in a fabulous location and the owner was wonderful.

Nice unit but very loud inside and out

We stayed in a lower, two bedroom unit of a multi-unit building that appears to have been recently constructed. The building is on the corner of the block, bounded by the local street and a busy thoroughfare, on the block closest to the beach. Street parking is tough but do-able in the neighborhood. Here's what we liked about the unit: very clean and well-decorated, small but nice front yard with grill and table for sitting out in the good weather, great sunsets viewed from the unit and yard, the great location within the OB neighborhood and right next to the beach, the helpful guide to the neighborhood provided in the unit, and good security from both the property gate and unit deadbolts (although lots of people likely have the combos). Here's what we didn't like about the unit: it's very loud, due to both its construction and location. In general we would not recommend renting a lower unit in this building because of the noise from upstairs tenants. More importantly, for some reason the building was constructed in a manner that the toilet drain pipe for one of the upstairs units passes over and next to the head of the people sleeping in this unit's MBR. You literally hear every flush and it's very loud, especially first thing in the morning. There is also a slow water drip on the MBR ceiling from the upstairs unit, perhaps when the sink or shower is being used; the owners should look at that before it causes damage. OB in general is not a quiet neighborhood; it's right on the take-off path from the airport (flights start at 6:30 am and go until late) and the loud side of the building's lot is very noisy, especially on weekends when the cruisers are out with their music and unmuffled bikes. That's not the owner's fault, but it's definitely a consideration when renting this house or another in OB. We would consider returning to this building but would only take an upstairs unit, preferably with parking and away from the loud side of the lot.
