Superb!

I just spent a delightful week at Sebastien's magnificent apartment! It exceeded expectations on every front! It is conveniently located - just a short walk from the many tourist high lights but also not too far from the main routes should you wish to venture further by car. There is on street metered parking just outside - which is both reasonably priced and not hard to find. Also, there are many small convenience style grocery stores within easy walking distance as well a choice of supermarkets just a little further afield. The area also features many charming cafes, restaurants, etc. all just a short stroll away.

The apartment itself was immaculate and well stocked. Each of the two bedrooms featured an ensuite shower. Sebastien was a wonderful host! He had thoughtfully provided a comprehensive collection of information on everything in the apartment and on Aix and couldn't have been more accommodating! Thank you Sebastien! one of the best

Our family of four (with two preteen children) enjoyed our stay very much. The apartment is exactly like what it looks like in the photos. The communication with the owner was smooth. Sebastien was always responsive and accommodating. The apartment is ideally located on a quiet street, only a few minutes a way from the busy part of the Aix-en-Provence to get to the convenient stores, bakeries, restaurants and markets. With the owners both being architects, the place is decorated tastefully with all the basics one needs from a vacation rental. It's cleverly renovated with all the right spaces available without any space wasted. The owners are thoughtful with meeting the needs of the travelers in mind. It is on the second level of the building. Even though there isn't an elevator, it's only one set of stairs to haul the suitcases up. Not a big problem. Having the owners living two levels above is helpful in case we had questions about the apartment. The two bedrooms are on the opposite side of the street where it's completely quiet. And they are perfect for us parents with a queen size bed, and our son and daughter who each had a twin size bed. Street parking can be a little tricky. But we lucked out with spaces near the building every day. Otherwise one can always park in a garage not far. We highly recommend this rental.

Perfect

Stayed here with my wife and two teenage daughters in June 2016. Sebastian was very easy to work with from USA when we were planning our trip and met us when we arrived. Apartment was very clean and all of the pictures are accurate. We had a car but we never used it in our four day stay, and I was able to park on the street in front of the apartment for a pretty small price (city parking meter which I think was about 8 euro/day). We didn't need our car as the apartment is about a one minute walk to the old city, maybe 5 minutes to Place Richelme, and 8-10 to Cours Mirabeau. There are multiple cafes, boulangeries, etc within a two minute walk. Atelier Cezanne is about a ten minute walk. Everything in apartment is new (kitchen, showers, etc.) and very well done. Beds are very comfortable. The only negative I can think of is that we had to leave!

comfort, ease, & beauty

We spent several wonderful days in the Aix area & found this apartment to be perfect! It is as well-designed, clean, & comfortable as the photos show. For my family of 4 (including a 5 year old & 8 year old), we found the apartment to be an easy and pleasant place to live - more so than any other vacation rental.

Although the apartment is up one flight of stairs, they are spacious. Carrying suitcases up & down was very easy. The kitchen was well-stocked with basics & easy to use. Everything in the apartment is well-maintained.

The host, Sebastien, accommodated our arrival time very easily and explained everything perfectly. His English is very clear and understandable. He made us feel very welcome. Although we had no problems with anything, it was nice to know that he lives upstairs & would be accessible, if necessary.

The location of the apartment is perfectly convenient. It is very close to the center of town. You can easily walk to many beautiful site, the shops, & restaurants. Or, if you have a car for driving into the countryside, It was easy to drive & park nearby.

I recommend this apartment to anyone who appreciates good design, convenience, & comfort. Staying there was a delight!

Amazing choice in the center of Aix!

After looking for a central and modern apartment in Aix, we are more than sure that we have found the best option! The apartment is absolutely lovely: well located, renovated, adorably decorated, clean, spacious, airy and luminous. The photos depict exactly what the beautiful apartment is. And very important during the hot summer in Provence: it has air conditioning in all bedrooms and also in the living room. The communication with Mr. Sebastien Krier is easy and fast. Parking is easy and there is a mini market in a 3 minute walk. I strongly recommend this apartment if you are planning to go to Provence – Aix is the best city to use as base to explore the gorgeous Provençal villages around.

Many thanks to Sébastien and Agnes Krier for providing us with an oasis in Aix-en-Provence. They are both architects and the apartment has been beautifully renovated and is spotlessly clean. We immediately felt a sense of calm when we walked through the door. Sébastien welcomed us on arrival and answered all of our questions and was available to help as needed during our stay. Each room has its own temperature control, both heat and air-conditioning. Everything is as described, the dishwasher and washer/drier was particularly welcome! The apartment is within a block of the historical city centre and is easily accessible for walking. The next time we visit Aix, we hope to spend time here again!!
