Amazing house in an amazing place!!!
Everything was so easy, great instructions and great house in a great place. Just remote enough that you don’t get bothered and everything in Ellicotville when you need it. Couldn’t recommend this place enough
So glad you enjoyed it. Come back again. Laura
Beautiful property house was worth every penny!
It was a beautiful piece of property! Plenty of room for nine adults.
Everything went very smooth, everything they said they would have was there! Spacious and clean. Would highly recommend.
Very lovely home and the owner is very sweet too
The house is absolutely beautiful! I love the living room with the windows. I love how open the house is and the natural lights provided from all the windows and glass doors. The porch is great to enjoy the view and big enough for tables to enjoy dinner outside,. There is plenty of space outside. It was a really nice place to stay, everyone enjoyed themselves and loved the house. The towels were folded and placed on the beds so nicely ( in little bows) The bed was very comfortable as well! We slept downstairs/ game room area and it was a little bit more cold there than the upstairs (maybe like 65) but I also didn't look around to turn up the heat because I didn't think it was needed. It was completely comfortable to me. Everything was so wonderful! The owner was also so great to work with, She responded to my emails instantly and helped when I couldn't figure something out on the website! Even though we only emailed I can tell she's a very kind, helpful person. Which makes booking the house so much easier. In my experience booking housing is always a complicated procedure but not in this case. We had a great time!
fun ski weekend
The house was spacious. Three families rented the house for a weekend of skiing and we found the house to allow plenty of room for us to enjoy each others company for dinner and games and yet when we need our individual spaces the house allowed that too. The house decor was dated and some of the kitchen cabinets were not working correctly. The description of the house stated their was a Keurig however there was not. There was a coffee maker but we were not prepared with that type of coffee. The house was noisy and had thin walls. I slept in one of the queen rooms in the basement (both queens are in the basement) and needed to wear earplugs due to noise of people walking upstairs and conversations from the other bedroom. The two queens in the basement shared one basement bathroom. The bunk room and the master bedroom were on the main level. The master had a full bath but the bunk room had no bathroom, there was a 1/2 bath on the main floor that the kids in the bunk room could use for basic purposes but needed to use another restroom for showering. The twin bedroom was in the loft and had a private bath adjoining. The house was close to Holiday Valley skiing and the landscaping was beautiful. We watched lots of deer grazing in the yard all weekend. Plenty of towels and sheets were located in the basement closet. Lots of firewood was available, however the house was very difficult to regulate temperature. We used the fireplace on our first night but that was it, the bedrooms became too hot and uncomfortable at times while other areas of the house were too cold. There were some negatives with this house but many positives. We would rent it again.
We are at the house this W/E and experienced malfunction in 2 of the 5 heating zone relays. I wish you would have notified us since we called our heating service and they fixed it. I will amend the house description to say we have a Tassimo not Kerrig and a Cuisinart coffee maker and Krups expresso maker so future renters are aware. The kitchen cabinet door hinges were tightened also. Thank you for alerting us. Most of our guests find the decor comforting in a chalet style. We look forward to your return. Sincerely Laura
Comfortable, great space and light
We came to ski. Our first time to Ellicottville/Holliday Valley. The property was an easy drive to town and the ski hill, but away from the bustle of town. The home had great spaces. MBR quite spacious and comfy bed. The great room, with its vaulted ceiling and high windows really made the place seem special. The kitchen was large and had ample room for our group of ten to dine together. Good play spaces for the kids, and more than ample bedding for them. Several adults declined to ski and they were comfy lounging in the home and visiting town. And the firewood was dry, which made for hot crackling fires!
