New 4 br/2 bath home includes Studio 1902 Cabin... sleeps up to 10 comfortably.
Picturesque LAKEFRONT home on NH's clearest lakes. Over 150 ft of lakefront has 2 gradual WALKiIN BEACHES, ideal for all ages. 150 ft frontage. clear water access and a dock. A 30 ft covered porch sits a few feet from the waters edge and there is nothing more "quaint" or nostalgic than this location for the ideal "get away from it all" vacation.
The house has 4 bedrooms with 2 full bathrooms, washer/dryer, full kitchen and gas grill on Farmers Wrap around Porch.
There is parking for several cars and room to store a boat trailer. This unique lot is located on PENINSULA with 150" Great East Lake steps from house and cottage and across the road the property continues on to the Copp River. Boat docks on both sides, you have option to change ecosystem for fishing and clear view of river wildlife.
This is a very special spot to spend your summer vacation. The front camp is over 100 years old and was called the "4 Sisters Camp" for the Garvin Sisters, who literally built the camp cabin, themselves, in 1902. We added a modern home directly behind the old camp so you now have the "best of both worlds". The 1.4 acre lot gives you plenty of room and privacy.
Sandy bottom allows you to walk out into the water 200' from shore and still deep enough to run your boat. The bottom then drops to 30' to what is a great rainbow trout run and eventually gets down to 102' in the center of the lake ... Wonderful opportunity to live an authentic camp compound atmosphere with friends and family to share.

Amazing sunrises and lake heaven
Beautiful crystal clear lake, breathtaking sunrises each morning, lots of yard and privacy (rare for lakefront), plenty of comfortable room in house, and attentive caring owners - a fabulous two weeks!
Our occupancy ranged from 1 (me alone, felt very safe here) to 7 people. We appreciated Pam and Mark's prompt answer and responsiveness to all questions and little issues immediately. Our trip was end of August and it got surprisingly cold for this time of year putting a little bit of a crimp in our plans, but we still kayaked, swam, sat on the peaceful dock and porch listening to loons & nature sounds and enjoyed s'mores at the fire pit. We also liked exploring the area - Wolfeborough especially, and some of the country roads, farm stands, homebaked pies, fresh corn.
Thank you! We appreciate all the little things you did to make our stay so special!
This is a beautiful and spacious home in a great location on a beautiful, quiet lake.
We totally enjoyed our brief (3 night) stay at this home on Great East Lake. The home is very spacious, with a nice combination of the original rustic cabin and a fully modern home attached to the rear. It all flows very nicely with plenty of room for guests and outdoor activities. The location is right on the waterfront of a pristine NH lake that is so relaxing and enjoyable. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the nearby Wakefield Inn and several short trips to other nearby attractions. I would highly recommend this home.
We thoroughly enjoyed the home, the lake and the solitude except the week went by too fast. We especially liked that the original rustic cabin was left intact and appreciated the high shower heads to accommodate tall people. 3 porches offered different views and individual spaces for socializing or quiet time. Beds were comfortable, towels were plentiful, spacious kitchen had lots of counter space, small fridge in cabin was a bonus, and fire pit was a great way to wind down after a busy day of kayaking, sailing, swimming, fishing and lounging on the dock. Owners answered our questions and concerns and gave tips for the area. However, we would not recommend this home to anyone because we want it kept a secret. Looking forward to returning next year!
Hello Myleta....we are so glad that you liked the place. It is special to us too and we're very happy to share it with those who truly appreciate it.
This place was even better than we'd expected! The description and pics here are definitely nice, but as excited as we were after viewing here, we were all the more upon arrival. The house is large and modern, with a huge living room and good size upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms, and the 'old camp' is part of the main house but looks out on the lake and is rustic and cozy...was really cool to have that room in addition to the more modern part of the house. The lake is perfect in that it's very clean with a sandy bottom, and the access couldn't have been better between the sandy gradual slope and the long dock (both perfect and well-used for/by our 4.5 yo daughter). The house has several porches, and we used the back one all the time...plenty of chairs including a nice swing chair...this porch looks out on the lake. The house has a great yard area in addition to the fire pit area. This house has something for everyone, kids and dogs included...from relaxing on the lakefront porch or dock, to swimming in the lake, to running around the yard and down the dirt road for exercise, to watching TV while doing laundry, to grilling on the side porch while making salad and corn on the cob in the large kitchen before having a nice fire in the fire pit, we enjoyed it all.
Regarding the owner, Marc, he was very responsive! Example...the previous tenants had lost a remote control...the one that controls the Netflix/Amazon (which we needed, given our young child). I texted him asking where it was and w/in two days Amazon had delivered a new one. He also was more than willing to install an air conditioning unit as I had told him I would probably need it due to asthma issues...turns out he was right about the air temperature comfort on the lake and I never needed it!
We will definitely stay again.
Tips - bug spray - lots...obviously not specific to the house...just to the area generally. Check out Tumbledowns a couple miles away for drinks, food, and really great restaurant pizza! Willy's Ale House about 10 miles away just over the ME border was great too for food and drinks. North Conway, Storyland, and Old Orchard Beach are each about an hour away from the house...all three of which we did comfortably. Ossipee has the closest grocery store and pharmacy and both are about a 10-15 minute drive up 16.
Hey Jodi....we're are so glad that you liked the place. It is special and it's been a part of our family for many years and we were glad to share it with you and your family.
Perfect combination of old-school lake cottage charm and spacious, modern comfort.
Gorgeous. Just gorgeous. Stayed here in August of 2016 with a total of 10 family members spanning 3 generations. There was plenty of room for everyone.
House is in great condition. Location is fantastic. View is ridiculously beautiful. You can see and hear Loons all day long and into the night.
Would recommend to anyone.
It makes us feel so happy to hear how much you enjoyed the property. It's been in our family for years and we love it when someone enjoys the property as much as we do.
