About this property

Family-Friendly Home Steps From Downtown Boulder, Shopping, Dining And Events

Our home is in a residential area in the heart of Boulder, Colorado. We are located just 2 blocks from Pearl Street, making it a leisurely stroll to a variety of shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues. There is no need to get in your car as sidewalks and bike paths are readily available from our home. Enjoy this easy access for dining out or enjoy using our large cook’s kitchen that opens to the living and dining area. Since this is our primary residence, we have all the kitchen appliances you need to easily cook up your own meals. There is also a gas grill on the backyard patio. The flagstone backyard is a perfect place for eating meals or gathering to relax on the outdoor wicker furniture. Our garden has many flowers to enjoy and herbs to complete your recipes. You can also choose to enjoy the wrap-around front porch with a small dining table, swing, love-seat, rocker and view of the Flatirons.

The upstairs consists of two bedrooms and one full bathroom. The master has a queen sized bed with an adjacent open area for doing some stretching or yoga. The kids’ room is across the hall with a bunk-bed and room to play. The bathroom has an oversize claw foot tub that is comfortable to take showers and luxurious to take baths.

On the main floor the living, dining and kitchen areas connect together. There is a smaller guest bedroom with full sized bed (futon) and an attached full bathroom. The bathroom includes a claw foot tub used for bath and shower. The utility room with washer and dryer is also on the main floor.

A short 4 block walk will get you to Spruce Street Pool. This pool has a great kid’s pool and water play area and a larger lap pool for exercise. Also near to our house is Whittier International Elementary School and Barker Park both of which have playgrounds for kids.

Fantastic home and location
Our family of 5 stayed for a week in July and we had a wonderful vacation. The house had everything we needed and the location right next to Pearl Street was perfect. We loved being able to walk to everything.

Fantastic Location & Beautiful Home
Our family of four had an excellent time staying the week at this lovely home in Boulder. Not only was it comfortable and had every amenity, but great for my kids and walkable to almost everything you might interested in: pool, pharmacy, restaurants and shops. A great place to stay! We look forward to visiting again.

Great home. Very warm and welcoming.
This home has every amenity possible. It is roomy and spacious and very well appointed. Equally important is the location. You can walk to just about everywhere you want to go in Boulder. I would definitely stay here again. Love the porches.

We are a family of three. I create software for the gaming industry while my wife is a pediatric occupational therapist. Our daughter is 9 and loves soccer. We all love the outdoors and often hike, bike, ski and rock climb. Our household also includes Pearl, a black lab mix.

Why they chose this property

We recently moved to Boulder from Lake Tahoe. Though we knew we would miss being in the mountains we wanted to be in an area with great schools, a strong community and still be near outdoor activities. We found that and more here.

The house is a few blocks from Whittier International Elementary School. That was what originally drew us to look in this area for a home and also what makes this a neighborhood so friendly with many families. Living here we find ourselves a short walk to the downtown events giving us plenty of reasons to continue to explore our home town year after year.

What makes this property unique

A perfect day in Boulder might be to start with a coffee and the newspaper on the front porch, go for a hike up Mt. Sanitas and then catch lunch at the Farmers market. There would still be the afternoon for walking the pedestrian mall and enjoying some quiet time on the back patio before heading out to dine.

Our house was built in 1880 originally sitting on the corner of Pine and 17th street. In 1906 it was moved to the present location. After nearly 100 years and many changes it was renovated to create an open floor plan without losing any of the charm. There are original features like the built in cabinets in the downstairs bathroom, an original window in the upstairs bathroom and even some original wood flooring.
