About Matthew Meyer
My name is Matthew. I have lived in the Twin Cites with my wife for 15 years. Currently I own a gym in Minneapolis which provides me with my full time job. We also spend a lot of time with my brother and his family who only lives a few miles from my home. We love to travel and try to take 4 weeks off every year to go somewhere exotic.
Matthew Meyer purchased this House in 2009

Nice separate space
Nice space with separate entrance. The Owner couple very nice and helpful. Would recommend staying here.
Very kind and helpful owners
We had a great experience, the owners were helpful, place was clean and secure, exactly as advertised. Thank you!!
Well, you asked...
The Pros: The homeowner was nice, although we only saw her for 5 minutes when we first arrived. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. There’s a mini fridge, a microwave, a coffee maker with lots of coffee, a water dispenser and paper plates and plastic cutlery. We did not drink the bottle of Two Buck Chuck.
The Cons: This is a partially finished basement with low ceilings; I had to duck under doorways and the exposed pipes in the bathroom. The couch was an Ikea frame that was oddly without cushions. The bathroom is unheated and the family’s utilities and laundry are separated with a series of shower curtains. The low ceilings, lack of natural light and stiff furniture do not invite you to linger.
That said, it was very quiet, except for Friday night, which we will forever remember as “the night of the living sub-woofer” until 3:30am. Truthfully, I couldn’t tell if it was coming from the upstairs or an adjacent house, but when we arrived home to the red porch light (which had been dark up until that night), we decided not to investigate.
If your daughter was putting you up in her first house, this would be a fine place to stay. But…..you’re paying for this.
Regarding the Subwoofer: untimely our neighbors decided to throw a party that night. We called in a noise complaint around 11pm, and a 2nd complaint around 1230pm. We tried or best to quiet them down.
Clean, quiet, welcoming, and convenient!
We stayed here during TC marathon weekend. The place was clean and quiet, and it was very convenient for us to get to and from race events. The owners were friendly and welcomed us with a bottle of wine in the room. We came back from the race to homemade treats, and they provided a selection of coffee choices for the Kuerig. Those special touches were unexpected and appreciated!
Very courteous and very nice.
They property was very clean and it had all the amenities we needed and more. The owners were very nice and stayed out of our hair, but were there if we needed assistance. Overall, great stay! 10/10 recommend!
Quiet, private comfortable room
Quiet, private comfortable room. The young couple were very hospitable, went beyond what I expected in helping me out. I felt safe and secure and it was a convenient place for me while visiting a friend. It was a clean room with mostly new furnishings. I believe they are just starting out in the hospitality career and they're doing a great job so far
