About Debra High
My husband and I built this cabin fulfilling a long time dream to have a place that was a destination for our family and friends.
Why Debra High chose East Glacier Park
I came to Glacier National Park for the first time in 1986 with my two young sons. I spent the summer waiting tables and calmly walking and exploring this area playing in and out of the water with my sons. Glacier Park totally captured my heart and became the place for me to recoup, gather my thoughts and reflect. This is the place I want all my family and friends to see. It is absolutely awe-inspiring.
What makes this Cabin unique
The cabin is, quiet, secluded and close to town. It is modern, just four years old and has a washer and dryer, microwave, stove, refrigerator, etc. It is close enough to town so a person can take a tour of the park, enjoy the restaurants, fish. hike and enjoy of all the options that a wilderness experience has to offer. The area also offers a photographer and hiker a plethora of opportunities.

Sparkling clean, cozy and well appointed!
Fabulous cabin in West Glacier! The cabin is clean and extremely well stocked. Beautifully furnished with every detail handled. Joe met us upon arrival and gave us a quick tour of the house. He also had a fire all set up and ready to go. Because it was a little chilly, he lit it before he left and we had a cozy roaring fire going in no time! Joe had left some pancake mix that he said we had to try - and even brought us some pure maple syrup to use! He was right! The pancakes were wonderful! Would definitely stay here again.
Absolutely loved the accommodations for our family of 6 adults
Wished we could have stayed longer. It was our families favorite accommodations of the trip but our shortest stay. Loved the wood burning stove and the large windows in the living room that look off in to woods. So many decorator touches. Make sure to get groceries in Browning before arrival as there is not much in East Glacier. Had all the perks of home and the owners were so gracious. Land line, WiFi, flatscreen tv granite counters, washer/dryer. Will definitely go back and hopefully stay longer
Best rental at Glacier National Park!
This cabin is better than described. It was lovingly built and features the most amazing touches.
After spending a day exploring Glacier National Park, it was a joy to come home to Baby Bear cabin. They have thought of everything, from a super comfortable king size bed, well stocked kitchen, relaxing balcony off the bedroom, porch with a swing off the 1st floor, bird feeders to attract beautiful birds, flowers surrounding the cabin. The custom word work in the cabin is too beautiful to describe.
The owners live nearby and were super friendly and helpful in getting to know the area.
Perfect spot to unwind, relax, and appreciate the wilderness
Our time at Baby Bear Cabin was the highlight of our Glacier trip. We originally had reservations for 2 nights but the fires at Lake McDonald left us without lodging for the remainder of our trip. Debra and Joe were so accommodating allowing us to extend our stay last minute.
Once we set foot in the cabin we felt like we were at home. The cabin itself is beautifully furnished and includes all the comforts we could ever imagine. We spent our time relaxing on the porch reading, looking for wildlife, climbing up the ridge behind the cabin, and enjoying the town of East Glacier which is only a 5 minute drive away. In the evenings we would fire up the wood stove, relax on the comfortable couch and recliner before retiring to the most amazing mattress ever.
The kitchen was well stocked with everything you might need including quite a bit of food. We looked forward to making blueberry pancakes every morning on the griddle.
Debra and Joe went out of their way to make our stay memorable and special. They pride themselves on giving their guests an amazing experience in one of the most beautiful locations we have ever visited. Without doubt, when our travels take us to Glacier in the future, we will make Baby Bear our week long launching point. This is truly a special place.
Adorable Cabin near East park entrance
Our family of 5 loved our stay at the Baby Bear cabin. Debra and Joe greeted us upon arrival and showed/told us all about the cabin. The cabin is nicely decorated and supplied with everything you could possibly need! The cabin was also very clean and well cared for.
