About Debra High
My husband and I built this cabin fulfilling a long time dream to have a place that was a destination for our family and friends.
Why Debra High chose East Glacier Park
I came to Glacier National Park for the first time in 1986 with my two young sons. I spent the summer waiting tables and calmly walking and exploring this area playing in and out of the water with my sons. Glacier Park totally captured my heart and became the place for me to recoup, gather my thoughts and reflect. This is the place I want all my family and friends to see. It is absolutely awe-inspiring.
What makes this Cabin unique
The cabin is, quiet, secluded and close to town. It is modern, just four years old and has a washer and dryer, microwave, stove, refrigerator, etc. It is close enough to town so a person can take a tour of the park, enjoy the restaurants, fish. hike and enjoy of all the options that a wilderness experience has to offer. The area also offers a photographer and hiker a plethora of opportunities.

When we arrived the owners were so very warm and friendly as they showed us around the house. They absolutely could not have been more hospitable. Everything was spotlessly clean and the cabin had so many thoughtful touches to make us truly feel at home during our stay. We enjoyed the proximity to East Glacier, too. Absolutely a great choice for your vacation in the parks OR to relax and enjoy the peaceful beauty at the cabin.
Most gracious Hosts and Awesome Setting near Glacier NP!
The hosts live down the road and were there to greet us; the house was well-stocked with essentials and very clean. They take great pride in it and our family enjoyed our couple days there - its near Glacier N.P> and the setting was almost like you were staying in the Park! Thanks for a great visit and we hope to return. Signed, family of 6
Beautiful quiet stay away from crowds
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Baby Bear. Debra and Joe were incredibly helpful and so kind. The cabin was beautiful and clean. There’s a trail on the property that leads up to the ridge line which offers views of mountains, fields of wildflowers, rolling plains and plenty of wildlife. My husband saw a grizzly bear while on the trail. We ended up preferring to spend time at the cabin and on the trail rather than in GNP. Debra provided recommendations on hikes and places to eat. We really enjoyed our stay and getting to know Debra and Joe.
Comfortable, fully equipped, beautiful home
We stayed for only 2 nights for our Glacier NP vacation. It had all the amenities and more! Owners thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible - even offered a frozen lasagna! Debra was as warm as can be! Internet was excellent and fast. Highly recommend staying here for venturing out to Two Medicine Lake (very close) and St Mary’s area.
Remote but very homey
This is a lovely cabin that is in a remote, quiet area surrounded by trees and wildlife. The owners are so welcoming, and the cabin is perfectly provisioned with excellent appliances, water supply and so forth. It's good to have a sturdy car to get there, but 4-wheel drive isn't necessary. There is regular train traffic nearby which didn't bother us. Not much in the way of shopping and eating in the area, so do for yourself and enjoy it!
Even better than pictured!
Beautiful house in beautiful surroundings. Perfectly cleaned and stocked. Would recommend 100% and hope to return. Thank you Debra and Joseph!
Baby Bear is located two miles out of town where the historical East Glacier Park Lodge is located. You can take an guided tour of the park, visitiing the other historical lodges. A small golf course, horseback riding and tourist shops.
