The cottage is a classic for North Cape May, two bedrooms and one bath with an amazing large lot. We like it just like that …. the simplicity and accuracy of the setting is special and takes you away to a simpler time. The cottage was recently bought and necessary upgrades have already been made, such as a new roof, interior painting, ceiling fans and new appliances. The house is small enough to cool with a portable luxury A/C unit.
Step back in time and enjoy the hydrangeas, vinca vines and lilies. Settle in on the hammock for a nap under the maple and evergreen trees. Have a glass of wine while sitting in the Adirondack chair. Speaking of wine, there are two award winning vineyards close to Whaler’s Cottage. Other attractions close by are: the picturesque Delaware Bay beach for swimming and fishing; the Cape May Lewes Ferry for taking trips across the bay where you can outlet shop or visit the historic town of Lewes. And less than a mile away is the historic town of Cape May with great restaurants, theater, shopping , Cape May beaches and the Lighthouse.
Watching the sunset, best you’ve ever seen, is a must! Watch from the ferry restaurant and its surroundings, Sunset Beach, bayside beaches or Harpoon Henry’s, a popular seafood restaurant in the area. And when you hear the Ferry's horn and spot the bluebirds and cardinals while sipping wine at Whaler's Cottage, you know you are on vacation.
North Cape May is off-shore on the bayside and a part of Lower Township, which has many other attractions in addition to Cape May attractions, such as Cox Hall Creek Wildlife Management Area.
