Set in northern Hancock county, this farm, one of the oldest, dating back to revolutionary days, in my family since 1783. Old home place (100+years) is surrounded by older structures from the early to mid 1900's that have been repurposed or will be to house old farm tools from 100 years ago, grow produce, provide community living areas, host bnb guests, art spaces. Recycled barn for wedding/group events. The living space is a full floor, open floor plan with a window on each side, sleeping beds on one end and a table and chair and hammock in the center and chairs at door entrance area. It is on the second floor and has a view of the pecan orchard, and surrounding grounds including the garden and chicken area.

Very Relaxing Stay
The farm and accommodations were just as described. It was a very special place to spend a day, quiet and relaxing, lots to explore. Furnishings were eclectic, clean and Martha offered us eggs and veggies from her garden. Stars were brilliant. Just a perfect get-a-way! I could not asked for a better place to unwind. Great choice!!
So glad you enjoyed!!! Come again anytime!!
It's nothing like the pictures. Stay away!! The lady said she would refound me the money and never heard from her again. Again.. stay away!! Fake advertisement
I don't know what to say other than to begin with, I had a previously scheduled appointment off property so I could not be here when they arrrived. I was an hour late. When they texted that they did not like it, and were leaving, I asked them to stay so I could show them around. The farm is very spread out, several out buildings, barn community room, some sites are not in eyesight of main kitchen area. They would not even get out of their car when I arrived. It was midday and very hot. I did say I would refund the second night. She stated that her partner had a medical condition and needed to electricity. ONly one cabin, theirs had electricity, so I dont even know if they saw the right unit. They may have seen the community room, which is very large, but is enclosed in screen. In their write-up they said I had no grill area, hot tub area or farm animals. I have three grill areas, 12 animals in the goat pasture and the hot tub area is very rustic, it is a cattle trough with a hose that trickles over head, and I say in description that it is not fancy . When trying to determine if I should return the night fee, I realized that because they drove up and it did not match their imagination, (my pictures are real, not fake . They are exactly what I have here) I AM wondering now if maybe she looked at pics from another place and booked mine by mistake?) So because they decided they did not like my place and would not get out of the car.............to see what I did have, then why should I lose the night's fees. Yes I do feel bad about this situation, but I feel I did nothing wrong. Nothing was fake or misrepresented.
My wife and I were looking for a last minute escape from the city and got exactly that. The property is beautiful, quirky, and relaxing. Martha packed us full of organic eggs and vegetables for the trip back.
These guys and Tillie were an absolute pleasure to host, and are welcomed back any time!!!
Our property is secluded, rural and historic. It is located off of a two lane county road which intersects with two state roads in two different directions. Access to grocery stores, theaters and lake area are between ten and twenty minutes away depending on which direction you drive for either activity. The historic city of Sparta is south and Lake Oconee where theater is located and also in Eatonton still more cultural diversity is available. Here on the farm we try to keep it pure and simple, a respite from extraneous stimuli so that when you book with us you are truly escaping "civilization" and can reconnect with your senses and your sanity! We offer walking trails, birdwatching and listening and a community room with books that are begging to be dusted off and read. We offer several firepits and a barn with a sound system if you feel like music and dancing. Come on out. We have only two dwellings at this point and only plan the addition of one more. Camp sites are a possibility in the future, but those will be limited as well.
