Disappointment on Marco Island

The condo had been remodeled and was lovely, but very poorly prepared and appointed.

We arrived only to find the kitchen counters dirty, the floors were dusty and littered with dead bugs. There was a broken closet bi-fold door, and the corner had been broken off the full sized mirror. These were never corrected. We were six days without WiFI and the router was eventually provided, for us to install.

There were no extra keys to the condo. In fact we were given an entry package but the main key was the wrong key, and had to wait for someone to deliver the proper key. Again we had to make time for the locksmith to come and make new extra keys.

After eleven days we still had no access to the condo's mail box and were expecting mail. The owner paid for us to purchase a replacement mailbox lock system at the Ace Hardware store. We had to make time to be able to install it our elves when the mailman came to open the boxes.

There were no cooking pots, dishtowels, pot holders, or a complete set of dishes. There was only one pillow on the king bed, which was without a matress cover. There was an incomplete set of towels for the bathroom and no trash recepticles. The owner eventually ordered these items, which arrived from Amazon.com. Most amenities eventually arrived, but with that, we needed to unpack/wash these items. We had been there for over a week without benefit of many kitchen amenities.

We also discovered 2 windows that had no locks and again had to make time for someone to come and

install them. We also discovered 2 chair cushion cover seams were being held together with straight pins, which isn't very safe.
