Our summer family get together was full of fun at Lake Martin. The cabin was beautifully situated. With its proximity to goat island, chimney rock, and marina, we rented a boat for tubing. The kids had a blast on the maui mat and the porch enlarged the living space to accommodate eating and card games long into the evening. Many Thanks!
Beautiful & serene
The pictures were very accurate. It is a cabin, but very cozy. The screened in porch makes the house! The kitchen is very well stocked and made cooking a Thanksgiving dinner away from home much easier. Plenty of linens and towels too! The scenery was gorgeous! We truly enjoyed our stay.
Family of 5!
My family loved staying at this lovely lake cabin. The oversized screened porch was one of our favorite spots! The bunkbed room was super fun for the kids - and lots of forts were built in there over the long weekend! We didn't use the grills, but the kitchen had almost everything we needed (we have a 3 year old and forgot to bring any plastic cups). We didn't watch tv so I don't know how that works, but the games were fun! The lake occupied most of our time, floating and jumping on the Maui mat and kayaking to Goat island - my poor husband was exhausted from the MANY trips he took there!
Everything seemed really clean, lots of towels and extra sheets too! We brought a fan from home after reading some of the other reviews and it helped keep us extra cool at night. We would certainly stay here again!
Wonderful despite the weather
This house is perfect for one/two families on the lake. This was our week long family vacation and Tropical Depression Cindy decided to come. It rained most of the days we were here, but we played/boated in the light rain, played games as a family @ the dining table, worked puzzles and watched movies. It was wonderful! It is well furnished and the porches and seating areas are amazing. The kid's bunk room was perfect. The inlet is great for swimming, skiing, wake boarding and the location is very close to Chimney Rock, a rope swing on Goat Island, and restaurants. We will most definitely come back to this house in the future. Thanks John!
Traditional Lake Cabin
Midcentury lake cabin with a wrap-around screened porch and three docks. Plenty of room for our pontoon and ski boats. Lovely swimming slough and great sunrise views from dock to the east. We read on the porch, swam, skied, grilled, and had sunset cocktails. Kitchen was well-equipped. House comfortably furnished with nice art and plenty of lamps for cozy evenings. Kid friendly.
This is a great place for a family getaway
It's a small but comfortable cabin. It sits among the trees and has good views of the lake from all the common areas and the master bedroom. It's in a great area of the lake as well. We enjoyed the screened porch and pretty much everything about the cabin.
