Overview

About the property

Located in charming Incline Village our unique home in the woods has recently become available on VRBO... therefore we have set introductory pricing to correspond with early season rentals... in the past year we have updated this comfy home.

This special home backs up to state forest land and a short distance from alpine hikes right from the property. The house has a tree house feel with the main living area on the second and third floor. Knotty pine interior the house has a Tahoe feel with a wood buring stove, comfy great room (living/dinning/kitchen), two elevated decks, and a fenced yard.

This is our home... but you will have 100% use of the house when you visit... we would hope you feel comfortable being here and treat it with the care like your own home. This is a NON-SMOKING home and property.

We require a $300 security deposit which includes use of the Incline Village Recreation Access Pass. This pass allows access to the private beaches and the recreation center with gym equipment plus an indoor pool. These facilities have a small daily entrance fee but part of the security deposit is to insure the return of the bar coded card pass which cannot be replaced. There is NO CHARGE when the pass is returned properly.

We do have coyotes, bobcats, and bears in the neighborhood.

Cozy, quiet and well-supplied house

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four plus grandma really enjoyed Lana’s and Dan’s house. It was very cozy and the hosts provided everything for us including nice dry wood for the wood stove. It feels like a home rather than an impersonal vacation rental. So quiet and dark at night, which made for excellent sleep after a day of skiing. It was a real getaway, thanks.

Great property...great location.

  • 5 of 5

I spent the weekend with my three son's while my wife was out of town. It was a perfect getaway and a great property. Dan and Lana provide everything you will need for a great trip. The kitchen was well stocked with plates and cooking utensils, plenty of towels and linens, and the water pressure in the cabin is spectacular (the water is really good also). We even got to see fresh bear prints (mom & cub) in the snow in the morning. I highly recommend this property if you are looking to spend a few days (or a week or two) at Lake Tahoe (one of the most beautiful places in the United States).

We are a young family with a toddler. This rental was fun place to stay and met all of our needs. The host, Dan, is was particularly friendly, anticipated our stay, and was very responsive when questions came up.

Escape to the Tall Trees

  • 5 of 5

What an enjoyable experience with a wonderful host. No worries if you forgot something at home, Dan has everything you need in his vacation retreat. The cabin is located in a great area with restaurants and shopping nearby. House is well maintained, comfortable, and clean. Would not hesitate to go back. Thanks Dan, it was a great holiday getaway for our family.

A little bit of heaven

  • 5 of 5

This property was as described and perfect for us to gather before a family wedding. It was cozy, well stocked and easy to find. Just outside the door were trails with the scents and sights of Tahoe. My husband is quite tall, 6'6", so the king size bed was perfect, but the shower head hit him below the waist and was a bit tricky for him to easily shower. We expect those challenges and I neglected to inquire ahead of time. No matter, he cleaned up nicely and we enjoyed our stay at the house. We were unable to get the DVD player to work, but that just encouraged us to have more unplugged time together.

We hope to return for a visit to experience the magic of winter. Thank you.
