The view from the living room and bedrooms, described as one of the best views in Ireland, is ever changing throughout the seasons. The cottage is located on the pier in the heart of the fishing village of Roundstone in the Connemara region, an area famous worldwide for its picturesque views, award-winning restaurants, fishing, walking and breathtaking beaches. O'Dowds Bar & Restaurant and Vaughan's Roundstone House Hotel, only metres from the house, serve award winning seafood throughout the season.

Golden sand and crystal clear water can be found at Gurteen Beach and Dogs Bay, only 2 km away. These beaches are a mecca for swimming and beach combing during the summer months. Climb Errisbeg mountain behind the village and return for O'Dowd's famous seafood chowder, or locally picked mussels prior to a short stroll down the harbour to the luxury of the Quay House

Great View and Location
Last time we were in Roundstone we saw this property whilst wandering around the harbour. the views are stunning and the location is perfect for the pubs and restaurants in the village. the house was very spacious and well equipped, the fire was very welcome on a few chilly evenings. I would wholly recommend staying her for the view out of the front of the house alone. Thanks!
Ticked all the boxes
I booked Quay House as I wanted to spend my St Patrick’s Day birthday in a small Irish village that had character. Not only was Roundstone perfect for this but so was the property as we were able to use it to host a fabulous dinner one evening. Anne and Simon were very helpful and we all loved the mackerel from the local Smokehouse. Thank you for helping to make my special birthday very memorable.
Return customers, will be back again!
Second stay here, didn't disappoint, well appointed and clean house in a wonderful village location.
Thanks a million for the review Conor and really look forward to welcoming you back again! Best
Perfect Get-Away in Connemara
My family and I spent two fabulous nights at the Quay in Roundstone. Everything was great -- the house was warm, O'Dowds up the street was delicious, the view from the house is truly the best I've seen at any airbnb, communication with Anne was smooth and very clear, the fire was cozy, the place was well-equipped, wifi was perfect -- the whole experience was easy and comfortable. The only problem was that we never wanted to leave! Thanks for everything, Anne! My family will always cherish our time in Roundstone!
Dear Anna, thank you so much for taking the time to review The Quay House, we really appreciate your positive feedback.
I hope we have the pleasure of welcoming you and your family back in the future.
spacious comfortable house in brilliant location.
Three great bedrooms, two with stunning views. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge area with effective central heating and the option of an open fire. Plenty of games, jigsaws etc but disappointed there was no DVD player as expected. Great pub in easy walking distance, recommend food. A great base to explore the area, incredible views. Lowry’s bar and Mannion’s are a ‘must’ to visit in Clifden for food and live music. A fantastic holiday!
Thank you so much for taking the time to write your review, we greatly appreciate it. We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay in Roundstone. We really regret that you didn't have a DVD player for your stay and we have since rectified this for any future visits!!! I do hope we have the pleasure of welcoming you back some day.
Perfect in every way! House was clean and very efficient!
Simon and Anne had everything ready for us. The house was clean, adorable, and in a perfect location for day trips and walks throughout the town. It is still off season so not much open in Roundstone but O'Dowd's served excellent and reasonable meals. Mary is a gem. Clifden was a short ride and we listened to live music a few nights in the pubs. We loved, loved, loved our trip to Roundstone and staying at Quay House.
The owners live nearby and are at hand should you require anything. They are available to meet you on arrival to ensure that you get settled in.
Roundstone's sheer beauty and diversity of marine life brought marine biologist and TV personality, Monty Halls, during the summer of 2010 to Connemara. See Monty's recommendations on Roundstone here (http://www.discoverireland.com/gb/promotions/monty/).
