INSIDE THE HOUSE
You’ll pass blooming plants and flowers on a stone walkway leading to the front door and patio. Enter into an airy and open living area that includes the kitchen, living room and dining room.
Exposed beams, striking rugs and eclectic décor lend Austin spirit to this inviting space. Relax on the couch, prop your feet up on the glass coffee table and read your favorite book. If you’re cooking in the kitchen, prep recipes on the mobile island or work on the stone countertops near the sink.
The whole area is lit by over a dozen specialty bulbs for cheeky style. When you’re ready to eat, the dining area includes an expandable wooden table with an optional middle leaf.
The master bedroom is the first door on the left and offers a full-size bed and closet. The second bedroom offers a large window, full-size bed and twin bed.
The upstairs loft serves as a third bedroom and features a full-size bed tucked in a sunny nook. You can also use this space a study – a table, chair and a reading corner with a lamp let you dig into your novel or catch up on email.
The bathroom features a combination tub and shower with separate sinks, a window and built-in shelves. It also has separate areas for the toilet and the shower for some added privacy.
Sip your morning coffee while looking out over a green yard on the covered back patio, which features a unique table made from a restored door. And, if you need to freshen up your outfits, there’s a washer and dryer here for your convenience.
The house is on Austin’s Eastside, so you’re seven blocks from well-regarded eateries like Hillside Farmacy, Blue Dahlia Bistro and Sagra. And if that’s not enough, you’ll find a variety of great cafes, bakeries, restaurants and cocktail bars all within a few blocks on 7th Street.
Check out the opportunities for hiking, biking and paddleboarding – Boggy Creek and the Colorado River are less than a mile away. If you’re looking to head downtown to best experience Austin’s culture and history, a 7-minute drive is all it takes.
