About Rachel Gee
My husband and I run this small family owned farm, with our 4 children and our dog Misty.
Why Rachel Gee chose Oxford
This cottage is one of a kind, you won't find anything else so quiet and rural so close to the beautiful city of Oxford.
What makes this House unique
You will feel like you are stepping back in history in this cottage on our farm, one friend said it was like going through the Wardrobe into Narnia. And perhaps there is something in that as C. S. Lewis did walk along the river here taking inspiration for his work.

Peaceful farm stay
This rustic accommodation is wonderfully located in a peaceful farm setting across a meadow from Oxford.
Beautiful and restful stay
The cottage was lovely, with everything we needed, and Rachel made sure we felt welcome. Beautiful walk along the river to the Perch or across the meadow into town. Wish we had stayed longer!
Lovely country experience
A short walk to Oxford and 10 minutes to the Perch. Rustic and relaxing.
unique farm house living near the centre of Oxford
This was an absolutely lovely old house, inside a working farm, just 40 minutes walk/20 minutes bike ride from the railway station and the museums, colleges and narrow streets of Oxford. The surroundings with Thames path and Port Meadow, The Perch and The Trout, were nothing but spectacular. This is a place for idyllic countryside life, and the Thames geese and swans, rowing boats and canal boats, all in the vicinity. The host and the people at the farm were very helpful with everything. We will miss this place, and hope to return some day.
Can't wait to return!
Lovely cottage with a beautiful garden was perfectly and privately situated steps from the Thames and its charming footpaths - a short walk from the fabulous Perch restaurant/pub and an easy stroll from downtown Oxford and all its many offerings. Our host was friendly, helpful and attentive. This is a working farm, with a fabulous U-pick strawberry field if you can get there in season, and you'll hear the cows on occasion when they are close by in the pasture. The kitchen has all you need, the beds are good, there's a fireplace for wintertime, and the wifi works well. We can't wait to come back and spend more time here!
A charmy stay out of the ordinary
You have here a simple but cozy and charmy little cottage that is part of a farm on the Thames, just in the outskirts of Oxford. The cottage has everything you need and if you are lucky, you will have the opportunity to pat a calf or maybe Dougal the cat comes by. There are several nice paths into the city center and just a few minutes’ walk away is the charming pub The Perch, which has to be visited.
Thank you Rachel for our lovely weekend!
The location of our farm is unique in that we are a working farm surrounded by fields and nature but also very close to Oxford City Centre. In our cottage you will get the best of both worlds.
