Beautiful property and great experience with Ree

  • 4 of 5

This cabin is a great spot to stay in Dubois and if you’re planning on fly fishing, it is THE place to stay. Not far from what you need in town but also not right on the street.

Dealing with Ree as the property manager was amazing. She was kind and flexible and super quick to answer questions and help out. I can’t recommend her enough.

A few things to know about the cabin (the only reason it’s not a full 5 stars). These aren’t game changers, just some stuff to be aware of when you book:

Would be nice to have spices/olive oil etc for cooking. Also the skillets are pretty well worn (not great for non stick).

It would be awesome to have a comfortable couch or chair in the sitting area. The couch and futon don’t really invite you to lounge on them since neither have padded arms.

There are no dressers in any of the rooms. If you’re going to be there for awhile and want to put your clothes away, this would be nice.

That’s really it. Like I said, these things shouldn’t deter you from booking. It’s just nice to know ahead of time.

The jacuzzi tub is AMAZING. It’s seriously the biggest I’ve ever seen. If you’ve been hiking all day like we had it’s absolutely perfect.

Seriously rent this place, especially for the chance to deal with probably the best property manager I’ve dealt with in vacation rentals.

Love the cabin and view of river can't be beat! Cabin is cozy and comfortable.

  • 4 of 5

Wish there would be places to hang clothing in master bedroom. A new skillet would be appreciated since the ones in kitchen are in terrible condition due to loss of non stick material. Not really food safe. That being said we loved the convenience, coziness, friendliness of Dubois and the view ! Couldn't find the button to turn on sunshine and dry weather! Fun to experience the snow & cold weather but so hard to go back to 90%.

Owner's Response: Pat, We appreciate your time to write a review and look forward to updating the cabin with the recommendations you made. Your return trips to the cabin every September tell us you like it and enjoy Dubois - what's not to like, right? Sorry the weather was cold but snow is always fun no matter when we get it - even in mid June or July:) We look forward to your return in 2018. Happy Trails, Wind River Property Group.

This cabin was perfect for our family of 6. The location, right on the Wind River, allowed for quiet reflection after a day sightseeing and riding snowmobiles. We thoroughly enjoyed the town of Dubois and the cabin was only steps away from the riverwalk and park. The kids enjoyed playing tennis and jogging the riverwalk. The new ice cream store, The Outpost, was not open yet but we look forward to returning and giving it a try! This was a trip we'll cherish forever and we look forward to returning! Owner's Response: Received the above letter from the Alvin family regarding their stay and I just had to share it. We are thrilled when guests love the cabin as much as we do! The private, park like setting on the Wind River makes it a fantastic vacation spot! The owners take great pride in the home and live next door and are always available to lend a hand. We hope to have the Alvin family return for another visit! Happy Trails, Wind River Property Group, LLC, Dubois, WY
