Needs work to make it comfy
Beds really comfy. Not enough utensils, cookware, glasses, storage containers in kitchen. Chairs in dining room had no cushions and were not comfortable to sit at. Dining table so big it was difficult to move about in cramped space.
No lounge chairs on deck to relax on. Table on deck was incredibly high and chairs were so low as to make it impossible to eat in comfort. Set up was ridiculously uncomfortable.
Couch in living area was uncomfortable and hard. Small rocking chairs were a bit more comfortable with some cushioning but were very small and narrow.
Nice assortment of movies but sound cannot be adjusted from remote making it necessary to jump up to lower the volume when watching movies.
Absurd that we were expected to turn on the water heater in the garage to have hot water. Instructions said to adjust water temp but the water heater was turned off some went without hot water for 3 days until we figured it out.
Pretty street, beautiful skies at night. House stayed nicely cool at night which made it pleasant to sleep.
Overall the house was over-priced, lacking in some basic comforts which could have easily been remedied by adding cushions in the too crowded dining room, replacing the deck table and chairs and adding two lounge chairs for the deck, replacing the couch in the living room and finally adding more cookware to the kitchen.
Would not return here as too expensive given the lack of basic comforts (except for the really comfy bed)
Dear Debbie and Family -
After 12 years of renting this home as a vacation rental – this is the first negative review. We want your family to have a good time, enjoy Lake Tahoe and have the property that they selected be what they expected. I will personally look into every one of your complaints and make sure that the issues are corrected.
Cozy and convenient
If you are looking for a north shore get away, this place will definitely serve your needs. Riverrock is less than a mile to the nearest beach, but you can also quickly get to Tahoe City or Incline Village. The house had everything we needed as a place to come and crash after long lake days, but was also nice to have the kitchen and bbq to make our meals for the day.
the only downside was it was rather close to the highly traveled road, so there was usually road noise, but it was not overly loud, so did not distract from our relaxation.
P.S. We loved all the old VHS and DVD movies they had on hand for us to use.
Hi Lisa and Family -
So good to hear you had a nice time in Tahoe and you enjoyed your stay at River Rock. Thank you for taking the time to write your very nice review.
Wonderful place stay ! Would definitely recommend and come back again, plus dog friendly!
Nice cozy place, great location for walks and great BBQ area in the back! Will book again!!
Awesome place to stay for the family
We had a great time and stay! The house was perfect and welcoming, great location. We had a great time as a family playing in the snow (yard was great for the kids) and even better to bring our family dog. House was clean, had comfortable furniture, beds and kitchen was equipped to cook. Would be happy to come again!!
Dear Lauri and Family -
Thank you for your very kind review - I'm happy to hear your family, with your dog, had a great time! I look forward to hearing from you again.
Cozy Tahoe Cabin
A perfect Tahoe Cabin - very clean and comfortable - our dog was also with us. We would stay here again.
Cute and Comfortable - Great Location
We had a fabulous 5 days at this beautiful home, River Rock, which was so great to come back to after a long stressful day at the lake or casinos! We had such a good time that we're already planning our next trip back! This cabin was clean, all the amenities listed on the website were accurate and booking the home was not complicated. Mischel was available to answer any questions we had regarding the cabin and I would highly recommend this property to others - I already have!!
North Lake Tahoe is a great place to place to sit back and unwind! River Rock is about 1/2 mile away from Kings Beach and there is a bike path across the street that will take you to the Tahoe Vista Regional Park. Northstar Resort is about a 5 to 10 minute drive for winter and summer fun!
