Outstanding Kona area accommodations!

My husband and I enjoyed a near perfect 24th anniversary trip to the Kona area, and Rita's condo. This is an end unit which is great to start with, but the upper location and view, beautiful furnishings and fully stocked kitchen all just made it hard to beat. A great little grocery store, Long's drugs and various shops were a nice (albeit steep) walk away. That just made you "earn" your MaiTai more, after a round trip. The complex location is perfect, a step outside main Kona, and at a great crossroads to get around the island easier. We loved our morning coffee on the patio, looking at that view. Gorgeous. The unit next door is a full time resident and we hardly knew when she was home. Can't recommend enough, this is just a really, really nice place. Rita, you were so kind and easy to work with, Mahalo.

It is everything the pictures show.

The condo is beautiful. Clean. Well kept up. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook with.

Great views.

Close to a beach.


The hottub is big and nice.

Easy to get to a grocery store, and downtown Kona, and all around island.

I would FOR sure come back here again.

Great place to stay

We enjoyed this home very much. It was a very relaxing environment to come home to after our Hawaii activities. The town house was perfectly maintained, well equipped with everything we needed and tastefully decorated! The pool and jacuzzi were an added bonus for our family. We would absolutely recommend staying in this town house. Thank you for a great stay, we will see you again!

Quiet & Relaxing

We stayed here for a week in April for a wedding nearby in Kona. We had three couples in the home along with my young kids. The home was very spacious for us. We all loved having our own space and washroom. We liked how it had a full kitchen (we cooked most of our meals). And the view... amazing! The sunsets every night were unforgettable. The location is great - we were about 15 minutes from downtown kona which was where we'd go most of the time to see family and shop around. Since I had the young kiddos, we spent a lot of time at the pool - they loved it! Another plus, walking distance to the grocery store + restaurants. The farmers market on Saturdays in the shopping center was better than any market downtown kona. We all had a wonderful stay - the location, very nice facilities & home was better than we were expecting. We'd definitely stay again!

Beach was closed and House had bugs!

Very disappointed with the place. We took our parents there for their 60th anniversary and the celebration was not nearly as good as it should have been because of the rental. The beach was closed which was not the owner's fault but we would have appreciated knowing ahead of time as having a beach to walk to was a huge part of why we booked the location. There were cockroaches and other pests everywhere in the house and my mom was stung by a centipede. It was not at all worth the money we had to pay and I am disappointed that we were not given a refund on at least part of the fee as spraying was not an acceptable option and was the only one offered. Would not recommend this place.

Owner's Response: I always take full responsibility and immediately respond with corrective measures for any issues. Hawaii county closed Kahaluu Beach for a few days just before they arrived because of a broken pipe. I don’t remember this ever happening before but obviously It was for the safety of all. You will notice that the guests that departed the day before these people arrived, wrote a very nice review and want to come back. In all the years I’ve owned this townhouse I have NEVER had a cockroach problem. The outside is sprayed each month. These guests may have unknowingly brought the bugs with them, because this has never been an issue. They texted me several times a day about something. First they couldn’t work the TV, then they said the garbage disposal didn’t work, then they said the toilets leaked, then they had cockroaches. I offered to send in a repairman, but they said they fixed it. Then they said they fixed the TV too. I also offered to immediately send in a pest company to spray and treat for bugs but they wouldn’t agree to that. They didn’t want any one coming in. They wanted money back from the beginning and that appeared to be their plan. As part of my maintenance, I had had a licensed plumber in the unit just 30 days before their arrival checking all the toilets and putting in new chains and I asked him back after they left and he said he couldn’t find any leaking toilets. In addition they were supposed to depart by 11:00 am on their departure day but didn’t depart until that evening because on a side trip to Hilo they left their passports under the mattress and had to drive back to retrieve them. It’s a good thing I didn’t have a back to back reservation or things would have been even worse. They told me if I didn’t send their money back that they were going to post a bad review each week. So this must be the beginning. The next family that arrived was very understanding and allowed the pest guy in and as soon as they sprayed the problem was gone. We stress cleanliness and maintenance. Please note all the reviews. There are many families and groups that come back almost every year because of the wonderful location and our beautiful unit. Rita

Beautiful Location

We made our first trip to Kona over Christmas. We were very happy with the townhouse. It was spacious, clean, nicely decorated and well stocked! The grounds are beautiful and the unit has an amazing view of the ocean. Sunsets from the lanai were breathtaking! The townhouse is in a great location. Quiet and secluded, but a short walk from a shopping centre that includes a grocery store and Long's. Also a short walk to the best snorkelling beach in Kona (10 minutes) and a quick drive to Magic Sands Beach. Rita was great to deal with. She was very helpful and made the process simple and stress free. We hope to get back to this piece of paradise!
